Why is it when my husband quit smoking he lost his libido and it has been 2 wks since he quit?

Does the body go into shock and kill the libido during detox? We always heard sex is better when you quit???? So far, that is inaccurate. Sex is non existent when my husband quit.
Can any of you explain things on this subject?

His body has to rid itself of all the bad toxins & nicotine before things will get back to normal. Give it a good 90 days to be able to tell a noticeable difference. If he also drinks beer/ale/booze or does drugs – that also will interrupt blood flow to his penis resulting in diminished libido, erectile dysfunction or impotence.

…he hasn’t lost his libido ! (that’s what he told you…) His "girlfriend" just didn’t like the smoke !
Doesn’t make sense. Just recently I did read a medical article that said tummy fat, weight around the waste, causes a guy’s libido to decrease considerably. Losing the excess girth in the waist brings the libido back.
He hasn’t quit if its been two weeks…
At two weeks he would still be in withdraw which would kill his mood in general.
