When is the best time to get tested for HIV/AIDS?

I don’t have any symptoms and I truly doubt I have anything. If you had unprotected sex, how long after it should you be tested for HIV/AIDS? I know that if you do it too soon after that they wouldn’t be able to detect it.

We tell people the window period for testing is 3 months. A person who has been infected will usually show up 90% of the time after 30 days of being infected, 94-96% after 60 days, 99.6% after 90 days and a few take a little longer.
They say a month or 6 months after exposure.
A month is as soon as you can be tested and have respective results. Around a month is when the body starts to build viral antibodies. The antibodies are what the test detects and will give you a HIV+ reading.
But in general, you should be tested for any STD at least once a year.
i would say the fall is the best time! its cooler out and the leaves changing color is nice.
Three months sounds like the best test time.
I hope don’t have it.
