What natural home remedies can I use to improve my dog’s dry & Flaky coat?

I had recently switched her food with bad results. Now her skin is dry and flaky. I have taken her off the new food, but am looking for natural home remedies that I can use to improve her coat condition.

Usually feeding a dog an egg (cooked or uncooked any way they will eat it) a day will help there coat. Throw that new food away.
Skin changes can occur when switching foods, even on higher quality foods at first. Find a food that doesn’t contain by-products or corn…Check out Canidae, Evo, Merricks, California Natural, etc.
You can also supplement with flax seed or fish oil, raw eggs, peanut butter (but not too much because of the sugar in it)…
there are several things you can try. Fish oil pills han help her skin and help develop a shiny coat. Just hide it in her food. When my dog was a puppy we gave him an egg (cooked) and that helped his coat stay shiny. Also, when you bath the dog, use conditioner. Any conditioner will do. If all else fails ask you vet because she may have a skin condition.
Get a flax seed oil supplement. They sell it in pet strength at pet stores. The human dosage is too high and can give them stomach problems.
Add Peanut oil to her diet
Eggs.
Giving them a raw egg every now and then i heard keeps their coat silky and shiny. wash her in baby soap, and switch her food to one that has veggies in it.
You could feed her about a half a cup of buttermilk daily and that should help some.
I had this problem recently with my puppy. One thing to do is maybe it is something in the food ask a vet which food is low in corn maybe she is having this problem due to an allergy my dog did. also try this stuff they have out called SKIN AND COAT it is an oil you put some on their dry food and they eat it and it has vitamins and minerals they need for their skin and their coat. the stuff is like 2-3 bucks for a medium size bottle. and with in 2 Weeks you will notice the dog looks better and isn’t itchy due to the dry skin. hope i was of some assistance.
Having dry flaky skin when changing foods can be normal, especially when going from a lower quality to a higher quality food. Your dog’s body is "detoxifying" which could cause the coat/skin changes until the dog’s body becomes acclimated to the new food. You should give the new food a few weeks before writing it off. Also, don’t switch cold turkey. Always mix more old food with new, and then slowly less old food and more new food until you are feeding only the new food. That will help with the transition and also alleviate diarrhea problems.
You can give your dog a boiled egg, or purchase the supplement for skin and coat that you can pump on to the dogs food to help with the dryness and flaking.
