Get some sweet oil….it comes in a little 2 fl oz bottle for like a dollar something at walmart…what I usually do is pour just a little bit into a spoon and heat it a little bit…not much though ( you dont want to burn your ear) and pour it into your ear. Let it sit in there for a little bit and then let it drain out…..it will break up what ever is in there. If you dont want to do the sweet oil…try laying on a heat pack. That should also help break up what ever is stuck inside of your ear. I would opt for the sweet oil thought as it has worked many times for me in the past.
Do you think there might be leftover water in there? if so, there’s always the popular: Turn the plugged ear down, and pound on your other side of your head with the palm of your hand. That’s all I’ve got , hon! lol You might have to go back to the doctor. Good Luck!!!
Dampen a Q-tip with hydrogen peroxide and carefully, gently, clean the inside of the ear with it. Once the old wax is out of there, you can put a micro-drop (not very much at all) into the ear and let it sit for a few minutes, drying it up with a dry Q-tip.
That usually clears up my ear infections. Hope it helps you.
try this:
use half hydrogen peroxide and vinegar. lay down and have someone put it in your ear. wait a bit. if it doesnt unclog it, do it again. if it STILL is plugged up, get one of those blue bulb baby booger suckers (lmao, but im serious),,,get over the sink , and with your ear facing the sink, fill the thing with water and BLAST your ear as hard as you can. the treatments will have loosened whatever it is and it will hopefully come out. my husband has a very dirty job working on train engines and his ears plug up alot,,,this has ALWAYS worked.
I use hydrogen peroxide straight from the bottle. I pour enough to fill the ear and then lie on my side with the affected ear upwards, while I watch TV. When the bubbles stop, I turn over and let the ear drain into a tissue. Then I dry it inside gently with a q-tip.
I have also heard of, but have not tried, putting a small candle in your ear. The story is that you light the candle and the wax is supposed to pour out. I am sure you will need some help lighting the candle and I don’t know how long you leave it lit. The warmth of the lit candle is supposed to melt the ear wax. Be careful if you try this. Maybe someone else will know more about it.
Try the peroxide first and good luck!
honestly, i don’t believe there’s such a symptom as a "clogged ear" All though it may feel like it’s clogged. So my dear in order to answer your question, i need some more info. for example: was it the flu, or just flu like symptoms? seems like it maybe just a real bad head /chest cold. Did you have a cough , aches and sore fatigued muscles all over your body? high fever 103 degrees w/chills? If you can say YES to all of this then you had a really bad head cold (which generally affects eyes, throat nasal, and ear passages and will go away in 3-5 days time. by drinking plenty of fluids and getting lots of rest, and much salt intake. (soup) try a hot shower or a hot compress or maybe even sleeping on your back/ good luck hope you feel better. Even try > http://www.webmd.com great web site from real M.D.’s
Ear drops from the chemists (e.g. "OTEX").
I also find pointing spraying warm water into them while in the shower seems to help, then scoop out the gunk (e.g. with a Q-tip, or whatever) after I’ve got the rest of me dried and am no longer starkers.
