What is your opinion on the case of autism linked to childhood vaccinations?

Will the ruling in the case that makes a link between autism and childhood vaccines change your mind about getting your children vaccinated or will you continue to get the vaccinations anyway?
What is your opinion on the case? Do you believe there is really a link?
I’m not stating whether I agree there is a link or not. I am only looking for your opinion.

i got all mine and apparently i am living and healthy….. my daughter is 6 and healthy as an ox… son is 13 months and also healthy…. then my mom, dad, sister, brother and my 4 neices……. so in other words i would say it is a crock. Plus my children would not be allowed any other children that do not have vaccines updated….. i refuse to subject them to anything becuase the parents are so worried about something that was proven to not be the case. the chances of getting autism has been proven the be the same percentage as those who did get their vaccines….
I don’t know either but it scares me to death!
i REALLY don’t want to get my son vaccinated… because of that possibility! he’s due for his first set tomorrow. ;[
is it just the one’s with mercury that everyone’s worried about?
l dont, l have to fully vaccinated kids and numerous nieces and nephews and also work in the disability sector and have never come across a case of autism due to vaccinations, with everything there is a slight chance of a reaction, is there actual medical proof? also the risk of not vaccinating your child far out ways the risk of "autism",
Im suspicous of the cases where parents claim, autism just came on, where they saw no symptoms before. That makes me think there may be a link. But I think for any condition, parents want to know "why" I know we did with our preemie and some of his conditions.
Plus if we do have more kids, I think Ill opt for the single vaccines with less preservatives, and opt for holding off until they are older.
I didnt know there was an actual "case" just studies saying there’s no link. But then again, whoever funds the studies, makes a HUGE difference.
That’s so false, I’ve probably gotten more vaccinations than the average person, and I am more than fine. I’m not even close to being autistic…
I’m actually highly intelligent, graduated high school at 15, and i currently go to an Ivy League graduate school, and I’m 20. I speak 10 languages fluently, and play the piano.
I lived in a tropical environment when I was younger (from age 3 to 9), so I needed a lot more vaccines than the average child at a young age.
When I heard about this case, I actually got myself tested (although in the back of my head, I knew I wasn’t autistic whatsoever), and I turned out to be completely fine.
I’m sorry but I find this really unbelievable.
And I know I’m not the ‘lucky one’… My brother is perfectly fine and he got the vaccines at a younger age (8 months), and so are all my friends who have had more vaccines than the average person…
i dont believe there is a link, i will continue to get all my children vaccinated, no matter what. i really think this is all hogwash.
people who dont vaccinate are depending on the 80% of people who do vaccinate to keep their children safe from highly contagious illnesses.
i live in az, and there was a man from sweden who was traveling in the tuscon area, and he was found to have measels. now, health officials are worried, because another lady has been diagnosed with the measels as well. people do not understand how serious this could be for people who have not been vaccinated.
I read the research, Only one or two studies out of the hundreds conducted have found that vaccines cause autism, the first around 1986. The point of scientific studies is to prove over and over under DIFFERENT circumstances that vaccines cause autism. My daughter is fine and she has had all of her shots. I would like to see a DNA chromosome breakdown similarities instead.
My opinion is that I would not risk the strong possibility of my child’s becoming a cripple or dying if I do not vaccinate him in order to avoid the remote chance that he will be autistic.
I think that because these diseases haven’t been around for years as normal childhood illness, parents don’t fully understand how horrible they were or the effects that they left on children.
If there was more information on what rubella for example can do to a small child or how quickly a child who contacts meningitis will die, I think that the autism risk will quickly shrink in many parents’ eyes.
no. my sister refused to have my nephew vaccinated. at 3 years old he was diagnosed as being autistic with speech, language and behavioural problems. 6 months later she had him vaccinated. im not sure there is a link, my nephew ia autistic without it.
i WILL get my daughter, who is only 6 months at the moment, vaccinated.
measles, mumps and rubella can have terrible complications and tragic outcomes including:
if you develop rubella while pregnant, your baby could be born with birth abnormalities including deafness, blindness, heart defects and intellectual disabilities
measles can cause Pneumonia, encephalitis, otitis media croup, diarrhea.
mumps can cause painful swelling of the testicles affects about one in five adolescent and adult men. This may (in rare cases) lead to infertility. Mumps infection can cause permanent deafness
Measles, mumps and rubella are highly contagious
They can lead to serious complications or death
You are more likely to develop serious side effects from the disease than from the vaccine.
i would rather care for my daughter being autistic than have to bury her and live my life without her. autistic children are smart, loving, funny and so pure – they tell it like it is they are honest and love you no matter what your faults are. not that so called ‘normal children’ arent all these thing. children with autism ARE normal children, they just require to be spoken to in a different way, have a more sturdy and stable routine.
My opinion is that there are many children with Autism who have not had a vaccination a day in their life.. why in the world would they have autism if the MMR shot causes it and they never had that shot?
I think a judge and jury had no right to decide something that is medically proven to be a crock. Not to mention the media made the report sound way worse than it was. My understanding is that the family won the money because the child had an underlining condition (which was brought on by the shot) that SPARKED the autism symptoms. It was that the shot caused the kid to have Autism.
Either way.. until someone can explain to me how children who are not being vaccinated are still getting Autism I will get my children their shots.
regardless of what they say, I will continue to get my children vaccinated. See, the diseases aren’t gone, contrary to popular belief… they’re just dormant because of the vaccinations… so if people stop getting their kids vaccinated, then the diseases will start showing back up… and I don’t want to worry that my kids are going to get polio or some other horrible disease just because there MIGHT be a link between some vaccinations and autism. Not only that, but if I’m not mistaken, they took out the ingredient believed to be the link. I’m not risking my childs health for a maybe or a was. Just my opinion.
Vaccinations are just a bad idea…
i tutored a boy who was autistic and he had vaccines when he was a baby.. i think they can cause not only autism but other harmful things for the future… he didnt start showing signs of autism till he was 3 years old so it takes a while.. i know for a fact when i have kids i am not getting them vaccinated.. it does more harm than good.. i really honestly believe that there is a link between autism and vaccinations ….

Our son has autism. Our daughter does not. He had delayed vax’s because his pediatrician was ill- we opted to wait until the ped. returned. So our son received his 8 week shots at 12 months of age. He was showing signs of autism by the time he was 6 months old: not responding to his name. Not returning smiles, not cooing, not babbling- all the things he should have been doing.
Our baby has received all of her shots on time. She is fine.
We belong to a parenting group here for parents of autistic children. Not one of them believes that the vax’s caused their child’s autism. That’s pretty telling considering that the children are both male and females, all diagnosed at differing ages, all types of autism. Yet, not one of us believes there is a link. Likewise, all children after and before had vax’s on time: and no autism.
What do I think? That there is something in our environment that we have not yet identified. We just discovered that there are traces of pharmaceuticals in our water. We know about Bisphenol A. There are so many things that we do NOT yet know- it makes me wonder. So much so that we have gone organtic here.
As well, they took the thermasol out of the MMR shot- and there are still problems. We STILL HAVE AUTISM CASES RISING. China did the same many years ago- and the cases continue to rise as well.

What would I do? Protect my child- he and she both get their vaccinations. Why??? I work in a public school in the worst area of the city. I have been exposed to Hep B- and thankfully continue to test negative, Whooping Cough- not a big deal but it would be for our baby, and all sorts of things. When your child starts school- they will be exposed. These diseases are not gone- they are dormant. When they do reappear, the liklihood they will be stronger and resistant to our current treatments are high. That is a very real worry.
I personally would rather deal with autism than with the diseases the vax’s are meant to prevent. JMHO.
I was never concerned. My main concern was my children picking up illnesses that have serious complications that are preventable by vaccines, so naturally, they are vaccinated. I’m relieved to know that they are now safe from certain diseases that are easily preventable.
As some others have stated, there are children out there with autism and haven’t been immunized at all.
No doctor has ever promised me 100% without a doubt that vaccines DO NOT cause autism. Nobody has promised me that they would take responsibility if my child were to be injured. I’m a skeptic. Truly though I respect parents who study the material, and even though they might make a different choice than I would, I feel that it is their choice to make.
The only thing that I do wish is that they could manufacture vaccines without formaldehyde, antibiotics, human diploid cells, monkey cells, ect. I feel like the government should be working towards safer alternatives for creating vaccinations. There are enormous problems in the manufacturing process. Remember the recent HIB recall?
I’m morally opposed to using aborted fetal tissue in vaccines, so my biggest concern is not really Autism, but the over all process of vaccine manufacturing, and marketing.
There is undeniably a link between vaccinations and Autism and here’s why: It is impossible to have a genetic epidemic.
Though there may be a genetic factor involved, the cause is mainly an environmental one. We are living in a world full of toxins and our children are now exposed to many dangers. Let us not flippantly disregard the numerous toxins that are injected directly into thier bodies every couple of months throughout the most crucial stages of development. Things like formaldehyde, latex, aluminum, phenol, antifreeze, thimerosal (still present in some vaccines), aborted human fetal cells, animal cells (monkey, horse, pig).
This is a questionable practice. Animal DNA should NOT be injected into humans. This has the potential to, and has been confirmed to cause change even down to the cellular level. A change of this magnitude can have genetic ramifications and has the ability to affect offspring permanently. Science will never be able to identify the true extent of negative consequences, especially with the wealthy and powerful medical model drawing our attention elsewhere.
The rates of Autism have increased in the past two decades coinciding closely with the increases in the ever-expanding vaccination schedule. How could we expect this practice to have no consequences for our children? What about for adults? FACT: The early Polio vaccine, given to thousands, accidentally introduced SV-40 into the human race, which is a cancer-causing virus of monkey origin. How many other diseases could have gone undetected during the manufacturing process and then introduced into the human race through this practice? It has been suggested that AIDS may be one of these. The website vacinfo.org has video links and recorded material available. Especially frightening is the link involving the head of a large pharmaceutical company discussing with collegues how these things occured.
This may be the first time you are hearing these things. Well, Pharma is not exactly advertising this info. For every door you open on this issue, there are at least two more waiting to be explored. It literally has no end. Though I am not against vaccinating, I refuse to inject my children with the smut that is available up to this point. Good luck in your search.
