The best medicine in the world for acne and scars is Accutane. Taking Accutane is the best decision I have made. It has changed my life. The only regret I have is that I took it too late. 5 months of accutane will bring happiness to rest of your life. I actually ordered accutane online through canadian PharmacyNextDoor, com , do not really think that there are some prescription drugs of the same strength which help fight with scars that are sold OTC,
One of the best things that I have found for minimizing scars is plain old Vitamin E Oil. You can purchase this from any pharmacy or super store (like Wal Mart). You can find it in a bottle which contains the Oil or you could just purchase the gel capsules in the dietary supplement/vitamin section and break them open and get the oil that way (It is sometimes cheaper to get it in the capsules than in the bottle). Either way, it all contains the same thing and that is the Vitamin E Oil. Just apply it to the scar(s) once or twice a day and see if you notice any difference over time. Keep in mind it is not going to work over night. It may take several weeks or even several months and more than likely the effects will be gradual, so you may have to actually snap a few photos of your scars before you start using the oil so that you have your "before" pictures for comparison.
There are some other products on the market available OTC which are specifically formulated to minimize scars. One pretty common/popular one is called Mederma. I have not used it before, but from what I hear it works well enough.
