I have tried everything from dermatologist prescription and creams (the Retin A, I have, works well) but I need a good cleansing system. Tried Murad and Proactive did not really work for me. I suffer from cystic acne. Please give me your opinions.

Yes, I agree with the other girls. You should definitely go on the pill called Accutane. I am currently on it right now and my skin is very clear. I am on my last month of it (4th month) and it did wonders for my skin. Like you, i’ve tried proactive and other expensive acne cleansers that didn’t work. I tried everything from the doctor even, including the gel thats dries out your face very badly. So I really think you should go on Accutane. It said in the sideffects that you may experience dry skin, but I havn’t except for my lips which I put lip balm on all the time. I also use Aveeno moisturiser for acne prone skin. Its also very good. Its a light cream and absorbs very quickly so you don’t get that ugly greasy feeling. It also is good for preventing aging. Anything from Aveeno does because its so healthy for your skin.
Also you don’t have to worry about what people say about the side effects. I was very scared when I went on it because I heard all these bad things about the pill. I ended up not getting any of the side effects except for dry lips. I was very happy about that. The pill cures about 80% of its patients too and i’m hopeing to be one of them. All I can say is so far so good.
The cost of Accutane is expensive, but It is so worth it. Just think, you could be acne free for the rest of your life.
If you really do decide to go on Accutane be sure to buy the Roche Accutane, which is the real brand. Its a little more expensive but works, which the other generic brands don’t. I tried one of the generic brands and it didn’t work anything like the real one (by Roche) is working.
I really hope everything works out for you and good luck!

ok, i think i could help you, but this is all based on experience and opinions. i had the same problem for 6 years…i tried everything and i mean everything. even the dermatologist topical medicines didnt work. the problem might be hormonal. thats the same problem i had. no matter what you use to clean your face, it wont work. i used to have very bad cystic acne that it even scarred my face. cystic acne is the worst one you can have. i wish i had known about this before my acne got bad, so im hoping i can help you… there is a solution, but its something you ingest. theres something called isotretinoin (accutane). heres a link if you wanna read more about it.

its pretty much guaranteed to stop your acne permanently.
hope i helped out. good luck!
Go to the dermatologist and insist that they prescribe you accutane. Sounds like you are a perfect candidate for it. I had terrible acne for 13 years and I finally got on accutane and it was by far the best thing I’ve ever done. I don’t have a single zit. It even helps smooths out the look of scars. You should ask about it. Good luck.
Hi, I found a terrific product called Acnezine, it worked for me, here is where I found it, good luck!
