These places are so crowded now that it is actually difficult to be admitted unless you are a danger to yourself or someone else.
If you go in, you will be involved in several daily therapy sessions, medications will be regulated and distributed, and you will have certain hours that you can have visitors. The therapy will be in groups and individual. That’s pretty much it in a nutshell. Remember they only really put people inpatient that cannot make progress outside. Maybe your therapist should change your meds or increase the frequency of your therapy.
Best of luck to you.
They are usually fairly helpful. I worked with a few nurses and doctors that can be real pricks but other than them, I had a fairly helpful experience. It all depends on who you work with.
I say if you have insurance that will cover enough of it (it’s rather expensive) then go for it. It really helped me.
They’d probably work on all three.
Try tweaking your treatment team before looking into inpatient treatment. I went through quite a few therapists and psychiatrists before I found the right people for me.
