What is a less libido-diminishing birth control method?

After taking Yasmin for 1-2 years and finding out it’s a really bad BCP (on my physical health), I switched to Alesse 28. I’m starting to realize that birth control is taking an effect on my libido. I have a couple of questions…
Is there a type of birth control pill that is less harmful to your libido?
Is there a better birth control method that is better for your libido (that isn’t condoms…)?

To be honest, after the pill messed me up so bad I had to go through infertility treatments to get pregnant, I switched to the sympto-thermal method. It worked for us for 15 years until my husband got a vasectomy. We never had an unplanned pregnancy, in fact it helped us have our second child. It is based on basal temperature, mucous, and other signs of impending ovulation. With crazy cycles like I had, it was a life saver. It is best when taken as a class. I will tell you, though, it requires daily record keeping, but it means letting your natural libido come back and not having to use condoms (except if you want to have sex during days deemed as likely for pregnancy.) i first tryed alese and it did the same thing to me. Then i tryed yas and got scared because of the recalls on tv but i am now on depo provera (the shot) and it is awesome! It makes your uterine lining very thin so most of the time you dont even get a period and you only have to go get a shot every 3 months. i find it ALOT better that the other two and i rarely even get pmsy:)
One common problem that happens is this. I have been there and done that. You have to figure out what it is first that is destroying your sex drive. If your on medication like birth control or anti-depressants that is something to think about and do research on. Other then that it could just be stress, maybe the kids, really anything that makes your life stressful can do this and lower the libido.
One thing I tried that seemed to work while I was doing it was exercising. I just felt sexier doing it which kind of boosted my libido. However it wasn’t the best solution for me.
