I had gestational diabetes with my fourth baby and was borderline with second and third. it is okay if you are just off by a bit but they will want you to lower it into the average range. I did great with diet and exercise but it still got away from me a little bit so i did go onto the insulin pill to help. The exercise and dieting is important to help keep that down but with pregnancy they told be no matter if you are doing everything right it can change at any time due to the pregnancy. it did get a little harder at the end. Now 9 months later I have low blood sugars so I have to eat more often now with higher amount of carbs. My little ava still came out tiny from it but she is healthy.
I too had GD with my last pregnancy and if it is under then that is completely normal and fine, and reallllly good :O) you dont want it too low, besides you will feel when it gets too low…you get weak, lightheaded, dizzy, faint…..but you need to keep it so that it doesnt get too high….I had mine under control for the pregnancy and had a healthy 7 lb 3 oz baby boy :O)
