What heartburn over the counter drug is best?

I’ve been taking Zantac, but if I miss a dose I get worse heartburn than when I took nothing. Is there a OTC that works when I get heartburn and doesn’t cause a necessity to take it?

Maybe Prilosec (a Different Mechanism From Zantac), Get a Endoscopic Examination. Assuming Parietal Cells "Rebound" to the Presence of H2-Antagonist By Increasing the Number of H2 Receptors, Increased Acid Upon Discontinuation is Not Unexpected.
dollar general has a very very very good acid reducer. works almost instantly. Krogers also has a good brand. BUT DEF TRY THE DOLLAR GENERAL BRAND. Don’t leave home without the stuff.
I like GAVISCON chewables. The quick foam puts out the fire fast.
Here’s something else you can do. Eat parsley before or with any food that traditionally aggravates your heartburn. Actually, it will help with all of your meals. Give it a try. There’s a reason it is usually on the plate at fine dining restaurants.
The answer is that you don’t need heartburn medication, you need to change your eating habits. Findings suggest that NOT eating between meals (no soda, snacks, juice, only water) is responsible for heartburn!
Findings also suggest that eating meat and meat products forces the digestive system to decrease pH levels, thus increasing heartburn (and risk for osteoporosis because your body will utlized skeletal calcium to buffer the pH) If you’re serious about solving heartburn problems consider a vegetarian non-dairy diet.

Change your eating habits . No sodas of caffeine after 4pm. Eat dinner at 4 pm. Nothing between 4PM and bed time . To go to bed with a full stomach is bad. There is some special sandwich. Bananas 1/3 with an equal amount of peanut butter ,and a little honey to make it spreadable.eat about 1/4 at a time , I used it when working midnights and drinking too much coffee . it will surprise U.
I would advise you to go for Gastroscopy you may have ulcer.
