What are the conditions, cause and treatment of a broken hip bone and low bone density?

I have to do this clinical question for my A&P class for homework.

Mrs. Bruso, a woman in her 80’s, stumbled slightly while walking and then felt a terrible pain in her hip. At the hospital, X rays reveal that her hip is broken and that she has compression fractures in her lower vertebral column and extremely low bone density in her vertebrae, hip bones, and femurs. What are the conditions, cause and treatment?
