There are science departments, and there are medical schools that you go to after graduation. While in college, you want to pursue any degree that interests you (whether that is science or not) while taking pre-med classes. Each school has a set of courses that will help prepare you for medical school, but "pre-med" is NOT a major. Your scores are only a bit above the national average, and your GPA is fairly good. You will not be accepted to any elite schools, but there are many good colleges out there for you. Look for a school with a good science department and inquire how many pre-med students are actually accepted to med schools. There is no such thing as a "medicine" department.
