well first you have to go to a 4 year university, take 1 yr. bio, organic chem, inorganic chem, physics, calculus, and english to get into med school. you have to do well in the 4 years, and then do well on your mcat’s. then you have to get accepted into a medical school, really any is fine.
basically, anywhere is really good, and you can major in pretty much anything as long as you take these courses. do well in college and the mcats and you will do fine.
There is no such thing as a "medicine" department. There are science departments, and there are medical schools that you go to after graduation.
While in college, you want to pursue any degree that interests you (whether that is science or not) while taking pre-med classes. Each school has a set of courses that will help prepare you for medical school, but "pre-med" is NOT a major.
Your scores are only a bit above the national average, and your GPA is fairly good. You will not be accepted to any elite schools, but there are many good colleges out there for you. Look for a school with a good science department and inquire how many pre-med students are actually accepted to med schools.
Harvard, Stanford, Johns Hopkins, Northwestern, Columbia.
