Our black lab has had an ear infection on and off for a long time regarless of what drops the vet has given us. I have cleaned his ears with cotton balls or paper towels using a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water. I always make sure to keep his ears dry even after swimming. Is there a supplement or some other home remedy to cure this ongoing problem?

I have a 9 month old maltipoo. He has a black discharge in his ears. But it’s not like what you’d expect with ear mites (it doesn’t look like coffee grounds which I’ve read is common.) It smells really bad and no matter what I’ve tried at home I can seem to figure it out. I tried using rubbing alcohol like I do for my other dog but it just won’t clear up. My vet is out of town for the month so I can’t see him now. So is this ear mites or an infection? Is it something that should be looked at right away or can it wait till the vet is back at then end of the month? Anything else I could try?

I have an 11 year old Cocker Spaniel and he developed what I thought was a cyst but the vet thinks it a tumor. It is under his right eye over his sinus concavity. I want to have it removed but she says it would cost us thousands of dollars. Does anyone know around how much an average Anastasia and tumor removal cost?

I don’t mean that in a funny way. But we have a cat that displays most of the characteristics of an autistic human, comparitively. I was just wondering if it is possible for animals to have mental disorders and diseases and such, too.
I always give her a little extra love and attention than the others..sometimes she seems almost normal..other times she seems so odd like that. When she is in her odd stage she has behaviour problems and walks off furniture and falls and trips and whatnot..this has gone on for years and no vet has been able to tell me why. I still love her dearly tho!

Hey,
I am pretty certain that my cat has conjunctivitis in his left eye. I have read all the symptoms from the internet (he has almost all of them), and have seen a picture of a cat with the infection and his eye looked exactly like my cat’s does. We don’t have the money to take him to the vet, so does anyone know of a natural/homeopathic remedy to treat his eye?
Thanks in advance, everyone. (:

If my cat has a hairball blockage causing vomiting, lack of appetite, and constipation, how soon will these symptoms pass after given a hairball remedy? Will it start working right away? Or will it take time to move through his digestive system?
I am not asking for advice to see a vet or for a diagnosis. I am asking how long it will take a hairball remedy to help a cat who has already been diagnosed. Please do not respond unless you know how long it takes these remedies to work. Thanks.

I’m a vet with PTSD and the drugs I take have sadly ruined my wife and I’s sex life. When we do get to have relations (only 4-5 times a year – my poor wife, I know) ejaculation is pretty painful. I can’t tell if just because it’s been so long or because of my enlarged prostate or both! The doc asked if it’s ever painful to pee and I said yes but rarely. So she prescribed Ciprofloxacin and I’m frankly afraid to to take it. What do you folks out there think? Thanks much.

My keeshond is having a lot of problems with itchy, dry skin. The vet has given her cortisone shots which work for a little while. Now he wants to try antihistimines- (we’ve already tried Benadryl). Is there a home remedy I can try on her first?

My uncles gave a puppy too us and we already know it was reaaally sick but we dont know what the sickness is. My step dad said theres nothing the vet can give him. He breathes really fast and hard and is sounds like one of the nostrils are closed? His stomach’s is also very big for a puppy. They said its not worms. What kind of sickness does he have?
He doesn’t want to eat a lot either.

My cat has a bladder infection, diagnosed by a vet three days ago. He is on antibiotics and just took the 4th dose of 14 (two weeks), but I just found that he peed on a pillow in our living room. Is this normal or should he be using the litter box by now?
