I really want a medicine that will make me go to sleep really quick because my cold is making it very hard to sleep. I have an ear ache, sore throat, stuffy nose, and head ache.
It’s so hard to sleep and I just really want a night time medicine to kind of knock me out because typical Tylenol PM isn’t working for that purpose.

I thought maybe I was having an allergic reaction to tylenol but some yahoo answers corrected me and said I maybe having a side effect to the tylenol which cause a rash look to my face. Please tell me what is the difference and what can I do over the counter until I can see a doctor please.

I have been to my doctor and am healthy but I get headaches. In the past I have tried Motrin, Advil, Tylenol and Excedrin Migraine and had not had much relief. Any help?

I am currently 12 weeks pregnant and I get a headache almost daily. My doc says it’s ok to take Tylenol, but that has never helped. I have always taken Excedrin and it works like a dream. Now that I’m pregnant, I have taken it a few times, but I know I can’t take it daily. What the heck can I do? I have always had headaches, but always been able to take something that knocks them out to. What do you do?

So I called my OB–he called in a prescription for Darvocet..I really questioned him on how on earth this could be safer than excedrin and he was very adimant about not taking aspirin of any kind..alrighty then..now I know.

I had just gotten over a small fever last week, but I still continue to have mild headaches, and a sore throat (it hurts to even swallow my own saliva). I’ve been taking Tylenol, but it only provides temporary relief! Is there a medication, or is there something I can do to make them go away permanently?

I started doing a colon detox this morning. I drank the drink and took one of the morning pills and was fine all day. I just took the 2nd pill dose and all of a sudden had a hot flash throughout my entire body. I also took 2 tylenol for my headache and a benadryl to help me sleep. My head hurts and I feel tingly all over! I am scared! I’ve just moved to a new state. I’m home alone with my son and I don’t know any of my neighbors! My fiance is out of town! I’ve had anxiety attacks in the past but this feels different. My whole neck and shoulders and down my arms tingle…. what should I do?
Believe me this is the last time I use this stuff. I feel much better now!

My little girl is 15 months old weighing about 25 lbs. Came home for day care with temp around 99. 3 hours later her rectal temp is 102.2. Her doc says give tylenol and dont worry about temp yet, This sounds odd. Should she go to emergency room

I’ve been researching about homeopathic remedies because I’m tired of using medicated products such as ibuprofen, Tylenol, etc. I’ve decided to move towards natural remedies. I’m just wondering if anyone who has experience with Hyland’s Migraine Headache pills know if these will work for normal headaches as well as migraine headaches. Thanks in advance! ^-^

I am going into a breast reduction surgery in ten days (January 26th) and can’t take any medications except Tylenol which I’ve built up an immunity to so it doesn’t work. I suffer from migraine headache and was wondering if anyone knew any CHEAP ways to get rid of migraine headaches.

I’ve been having headaches every day for a while. I’ve been taking tylenol but i don’t want to take too much. What are some causes of headaches and how can I cure them?

My boyfriend has been experiencing headaches. He describes them as coming on strongly, but almost as if the pain is there (on the right side) and as if a lightning storm, the pain extends. The area is sensitive to touch, but he is not sensitive to light or sound. No changes in diet, or exercise. He can only take tylenol – acetominophen base. After the initial pain, the headache usually dulls, but is constant. Does anyone know what could be causing this? He is getting enough water, so he is not dehydrated. Any suggestions?

I’ve been having headaches daily and taking Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Aleve and nothing seems to cure the headaches. I don’t like taking pills. I like to be natural. Does anyone have any good, natural remedies to get rid of my headaches?

I get a fairly bad headache at least once a day and Tylenol and Advil are just not helping anymore. I also get migraines and headaches that make me feel dizzy and nauseated. I have been living on Advil and Tylenol for quite a while now and both of those are starting to lose affect. Is there a really great headache medicine out there that I haven’t discovered yet? Or am I just going to have to live with these?

Which approach makes more sense to you? Should drug companies make drugs that are highly toxic if abused (shot up, ect) to discourage their abuse, or should they make drugs that are safer even if abused, not because you want them to be abused but because you believe in harm reduction? If making the pills more toxic turns out to not dissuade everyone from abusing these drugs, it is ethical to be increasing the harm these people experience when that harm could be reduced?

Many binders and time release formulations are dangerous to people who shoot up. They shouldnt be shooting up anyway, but if we are further endangering their lives are we doing the right thing?

Another thing is additives like tylenol in Vocodin and Percocet. Despite what they tell you, the tyenol does not add significantly to the pain relief. Tylenol is good for minor aches and pains and it worthless for moderate to severe pain. It doesnt make enough of a difference. Its put in there however to make people sick if they take too much of the opiate. Too much tylenol will destroy your liver and is more toxic than the hydrocodone. Hydrocodone is dangerous if you take more than you have a tolerance for but is comparably non toxic if you use the right dosage. If you increase your dose of hydrocodone to tolerance, you will eventually destroy your liver with the tylenol rather than from the opiates. Many doctors are now switching to norco instead of vicodin because it contains less of the harmful tylenol which should never ever be shot…but it happens and people die.

So, should we err on the side of preventing drug abuse by making it scary by adding stuff that can kill you, or should we err on the side of compassion and harm reduction even when these people are breaking the law by abusing their medication?
"How about we manufacture drugs that do the optimum good for the patient and let the docs do what they do best"

That would be nice. However, the DEA breaths down the neck of doctors and drug companies in the name of trying to prevent drug abuse, and because of this many doctors are afraid to do their job and end up letter legitimate pain patients suffer. Drug companies are also pressured to cater to the DEAs wishes rather than just focus on making the best medications for pain they can make.

I get migraines and I take preventive migraine medicine. It not pain medicine so I don’t have to worry about mixing medicines but I still do not want to take tylenol or advil or anything like that. I want a good all natural supplement to take which I could take to get rid of the occasional breakthrough pain.

Any suggestions would be nice.
