I am covered by my wife’s medical insurance plan. The coverage is good and doesn’t cost us anything extra for me to be listed on her policy. My employer offers medical insurance, however it’s a small company and I’ve heard negative things about the cost/benefits. I’m wondering if it’s acceptable to ask for compensation in lieu of medical insurance. If so, how much is appropriate to ask for?
