Do patients often face the choice of waiting 2 weeks for an appointment or going to the emergency room for relatively minor things, like a cut that needs a few stitches, an infection which may or may not be swine flu, etc? Does this practice drive up the cost of health care and insurance?

My son was deemed a "suspected swine flu" case today. I was told that he was contagious 2 days prior to onset of fever (which would have made him contagious Friday). When could he have been exposed?

I was thinking of buying this product to help prevent swine flu and for general well-being. Is it a good product or is it not very strong? Thanks for any help.

We have the swine flu going around in my town, I have three kids 8yr old, 5yr old, and 1yr old, it worries me to even think about them catching it. How serious is it in children?

We are getting the flu shot soon at my place of work. So I was wondering if I need to set up a seperate flu shot to prevent the swine flu strain.
If you can please leave a link to validate your answers…Thanks for any and all responses!

I go to school in Texas, how bad are they predicting the swine flu is going to be? I saw something about it on my yahoo homepage, but I didn’t get a chance to look at it. What should I do to try and help prevent myself from getting it, besides getting the vaccine?
Yeah, i’m a sophomore too. Lol, I think I feel just about the same way you do.

I am really freaked out that it’s going to come to Washington. Someone threw up the other day, and everyone is coughing like nuts, it’s really freaking me out, I don’t like going to school because this guy keeps coughing on me on purpose and I am really scared as helllll from catching the swine flu.
What are the symptons that let you know if you have it?

I’ve heard a Canadian report from late September of this year stated that those who get vaccinated with the seasonal flu shot are at higher risk for catching the H1N1 (Swine Flu) virus. Is this so, and if it is, why? Also, there’s been no update on this report. I’ve searched the web and all that I found are the initial articles. Where is all the info on this? Wouldn’t it be important to mention?

I’m planning on getting the seasonal flu shot, but I don’t know about the new swine flu one. I feel it has not been out long enough for anyone to know if it is safe.

I’m 37 and healthy. I’ve had the regular flu shot and want the swine flu shot when it’s available. But I think I heard somewhere that if you’ve only had one seasonal flu shot, you should wait a couple of months before you get the swine flu shot, just to make sure you don’t have any symptoms or complications from flu vaccination in general. Medical professionals, is this accurate? And if it is, how long should I wait? Many thanks.

Is the swine flu supposed to be deadlier than regular flu? What is the difference (besides the fact that it is a different variation of the flu)? Thanks

What can we Americans do to keep ourselves from forced swine flu vaccinations? Is this what the so called FEMA concentration camps are for, to put all of us who don’t want to take a vaccine which has not been found to be safe yet?

I know that the swine flu is on North America, and Europe, but what other continents is it on.
