If I am eating right (salads, fruits, pretty much maintaining a healthy diet and taking out all the fatty foods) and going to the gym daily for 30 to 60 minutes, PLUS taking acai berry supplements, how long will it take to see some results? I need to lose weight in about a month before the summer starts :)

Could anyone recommend any treatments or supplements for a feline with a compromised immune system? I know there are pro-vitimins and other natural remedies for felines and would like some suggestions about what is best.

Supported answers with reference will get the best score.

Thank you.

Or is the omega 3 acids from supplements intended for those who never eat fish?

I just took the vitamin 10 minutes ago and I feel like going out to eat fish with my husband. Can I?

What is the real acai berry supplement deal?

I’m hearing a lot about scams of the acai berry supplements.
Which is real?
I didn’t order yet but I called the number for the extreme acai berry and it said it does not exist.
So I don’t know which is real,
And do these really work?
How long does it take to take effect? How many hours till you go?

i’m backpacking across Europe this summer and i’m looking to purchase vitamins that will improve and protect my skin and hair, as well as boost my immunity while traveling. i used to use Olay vitamins plus separate supplements, like Biotin, but i am looking for something more with a larger range of health benefits. i also ideally would like them in little plastic packages for my travel convenience.

please help! i’m open to all suggestions.

What temperature should I keep my Omega 3 on?

I left my Omega 3 supplements in my car overnight and the temperature was -17 degrees celcius….is it still safe to take them? I looked on the bottle it doesn’t specify the storage temperature.

My doctor gave me a repeat script for preg omega and the next time we went he gave me a repeat script for mumomega which i have now been taking both as i thought i was suppossed to. I read eating fish can cause brain damage to a fetus becuase of the mercury. Are omega 3 supplements the same? I mean do they contain mercury. Do you think i have harmed my baby now?

Since January, I’ve had about 3 colds, 2 flus, and a kidney infection.

Althought I’ve never been especially healthy per se, this isn’t normal for me. I’m 23 and I have no health problems that have been diagnosed yet.

I will admit that I’ve been facing a lot of changes and stress in my life this year, but I don’t imagine that it would account for all of these heath episodes.

Any suggestions on supplements to take or lifestyle changes that I can implement to strengthen my immunity?

How much Omega do you have to eat, and just once, or this dose multiple times before a stroke? I am taking supplements for Omega 3.

How much omega 3 is recommended a day?

I am taking omega-3 supplements and this is what is in them.

Fish Oil Concentrate – 2,258 mg
Omega-3 Fatty Acids – 1,400 Mg
EPA – 1,000 Mg
DHA – 200 Mg

Is this a good amount, normal, or below normal?

I’m thinking about adding various mushrooms to my daily supplement/herb regimen because of how good they are for your immune system and how you can take most of them long term safely. BUT I don’t want to take them if they also don’t have clinically proven, measurable antioxidant/detoxification properties to them (I only take supplements and tonic herbs that have multifaceted uses like for- detoxification, antioxidants, and immune system).

I did some research and read somewhere that chaga mushrooms have powerful antioxidants in them but couldn’t find any proof for that. I haven’t found the info I’m looking for, maybe someone knows more… I hope.
FALSE. And I’m not here to debate the overall validity of herbs/supplements with you. EXTENSIVE studies have been done especially in other countries on many herbs, so don’t be so ignorant. For example, it was found that tumeric supplementation significantly increases key detoxification enzymes in the human body by a minimum of 2 fold (and the increases were scientifically measurable). Fish oil is another supplement that has been proven to work. Don’t be so ignorant. You probably don’t know anything about herbs or care. The only reason that the FDA doesn’t approve supplements is because they are practically owned by big Pharm and the govt doesn’t do all the testing on phytotherapy like in other countries (China, Germany, Japan for example). There are governments out there that do TONS of scientific research on herbs and their ministries of health have approved TONS of herbs for medicinal use. I’m sorry that people have to be so ignorant…

I was diagnosed with both ADHD and mild anxiety, so adderall was not a very good choice for me with both of those conditions. I tried taking these high quality krill oil omega 3 supplements, two pills twice a day which is maximum dose. I’ve noticed within weeks that I can concentrate better, think more rationally and clearer, and have better memory. Have you also found this when you took these supplements or is this just a placebo effect? Thanks!

Antioxidants – all hype?

I am getting caught up in the whole ORAC measurements and antioxidant’s anti-aging power. I am drinking more green tea and eating more cranberries and goji berries, and daily vitamin E supplements. I feel good about my better dieting but can’t help but think if antioxidants are all hype. What makes one antioxidant different from others? For instance, if vitamin C is an antioxidant, why can’t I just drink more Hi-C (ignoring the high sugar content) to get my antioxidants? Should I just ignore claims from foods that say antioxidants are super cool and just focus more on other aspects of the food???
