My 10 yr old yellow lab was just diagnosed with arthritis. She’s absolutely fine, most of the time, runs, swims, etc. But, she has days, when she can not put any weight on her right front paw. The Vet gave me medacam, and that works very well. But is there anything else I can do for her?
She is at her normal weight, about 62 pounds, she is definitely not over-weight. She swims in the pool daily (usually several times, even when the leg acts up). I do give her glucosamine supplements (in honey). I’m interested in the magnetic therapy, do they make small mattress pads for dog beds?
She;s definitely not overweight, and I dont think she did anything to the paw, because it hurt initially, but then was absolutely fine for about a month, and then back to holding it in the air. I was really beginning to think the arthritis diagnosis was not right, until she started limping on it again…I’m not that familiar with arthritis, is that how it is, comes and goes?

Some common signs may be that……………..

Your new job title is ‘Information analyst/consultant’

When asked to do something your reply is “just a few minutes”……….half hour later, you hear them asking again.

You can tell who most people are by their avatar picture alone.

You know who Judas Rabbi is and his many various wannabes

You’ve seen the questions ‘Why did the chicken cross the road?’ and ‘What’s the meaning of life?’ and ‘Do you think I’m pregnant?’ at least 50 times each

Ye be warned: long question ahead!

Hi all, this is a little something that’s been bothering me lately. I really do appreciate all your help in trying to figure out what’s up with me. :D

I’m turning 16 this year and I seem to be facing some problems which.. Well, doesn’t really seem appropriate for me to be experiencing at this age lol.

I seem to have quite a terrible short term memory. I’m of those people that has a memory span of no longer than 5 minutes. Yes, I’d go to a place and forget what I was there for. I’d talk to someone and break-off midway in conversation because I’d suddenly blank out. I’d put things somewhere and forget where I put them once I turn my head away. It can even happen several times in just 1 hour (infact it did just yesterday). It’s starting to get frustrating for me.

However I seem to have a good long-term memory. Sometimes I’m even able to remember little details that people overlook. I’m more of an observer. In school I am definitely not the Maths type, my forte is more Arts and Languages. And yes, because of the short term memory words are always on the tip of my tongue and maths formulas are just foreign to me.

I also notice that my mental response is getting slower. For instance, when someone wants me to do something I can hear and understand what they’re saying but my body just can’t seem to respond to it. Sometimes I can’t understand what they’re saying even when they’ve repeated it several times to me. Other times my body just feels tired after listening and participating in conversations, and I just blank out. And when I am given information somehow my brain just rearranges it all around to make it into something else and I have to ask for it again. All these seems to be getting worse, and considering my age this is really starting to worry me. :(

If it helps, I’ve experiencing insomnia for several months now. I’d wake up in the morning and find it difficult to go back to sleep. Sometimes I even just stay awake with 2 hours of sleep and not feel tired at all. It only starts to affect me when I start sleeping normally (for around 7-8 hours) again. It’s on/off, but I’ll just put it here in case it does help. :D

Anyways, I’m really sorry for the long post but I do appreciate all your help in trying to figure out what’s up with me. :D

Much loves!
