What exactly does stage 5 prostate cancer mean?

I found out yesterday my grandpa has stage 5 prostate cancer and it’s terminal.
What exactly does stage 5 mean? What is the life expectancy at this point?

Want to try something new, he says he’s been cumming but I’m not sure. I heard its healthy for men and he’s paranoid of prostate cancer?

My dad is 81 years old with stage 4 prostate cancer. Been diagnosed for 2-3 years now.

Presently in the lymph nodes and not yet in the bones.

PSA is less then 1%. Gleason score is 7.

He has been on hormone treatment for more then a year now and experiences the normal side effects. His doctors seemed to give him no response. They cannot do anything to stop the side effects. My dad is use to it by now but wishes for the side effects to be stopped.

Is this a bad sign of experiencing the side effects?

What are the chances of me getting prostate cancer?

My father has prostate cancer. Does my risk of getting that cancer goes up?
Around what age should I have that check up?

How long can someone live with prostate cancer stage 4?

My dad has prostate cancer stage 4. With his hormone treatment, can he still live for several more years? He is also 81 years old and currently in the lymph nodes area.

I have had an agressive form of prostate cancer. Treatment included radiation internal as well as internal, inplants. Horemone and meds. Everything other than removal. I now have diabeties, have undergone triple bi-pass, I now hurt all over, my hips are all but killing me, I have lost and regained and lost again ability to controll urination. Thoughts please.

Has there been a breakthrough in prostate cancer treatment?

By frequent I mean like more than 3 times per week. Can it cause prostate cancer or any other prostate disorder?

I have a strong family history of prostate cancer (father & older brother). I am now over 65 and my PSA tests have remained at normal levels I have that test and a rectal exam by a urologist done annually. I’ve heard recently that pomegranate juice may be of value in treating men wiith prostate cancer whose cancer is still progressing despite radiation and/or hormonal therapy. What I’d like to know is this:

(1) Is there any evidence that it might help in preventing or delaying onset of the disease? and
(2) Is there any indication it could interfere with early diagnosis by skewing the PSA test?

My dad has bone scan every 3 months now. As long as he is on the treatments everything should be ok right? Or despite the treatments, it can still spread anywhere?

Background:

My dad is 80 years old with prostate cancer stage 3 (2 years now) and spread into the lymph nodes area. His neighbor has the same thing except his neighbor is already in the bones and have about a year to live. So this absolutely scares me.

I was not home when his doctor’s office called to set up the appointment so I could not ask them.
Where do they go in from? And will he most likely be awake or put under? And are there any kind of sexual or any other side effects from the biopsy?
He has an elevated PSA level and a family history of prostate cancer so they are doing the biopsy.

Hello,

I know the doctor puts his finger in your rectum and feels around. Does he full lump and then assume you have prostate cancer pending on a biopsy?

much help needed thank you.

susan komen is a gender biased and sexist charity that only cares about women over the age of 50.

Less then 1% of men get breast cancer and children even less.

I believe in equality and know susan komen and breast cancer survivors have something against men and children or they would have created a charity that supports all EQUALLY
Denise, it is obvious you are the one with the problem. You will only support breast cancer and thats it. No skin cancer, no prostate cancer, no brain cancer. Your feminist tirades are falling on deaf ears.

Recently the White House was illuminated in pink lights at night for breast cancer awareness.

When was a similar event held for prostate cancer?

Ever since I was in high school, I noticed that girls seem to think only women get cancer.

Or that if men get it, it’s not important.
Thanks, momo. I knew we’d make up.
