What acne cleansing system has worked best for you?

Old Proactiv?
New Proactiv?
Clinique?
Perfect Skin?
AcneFree?
Something else?
Skin I.D.?

And how fast did you notice your skin was considerably better? I liked AcneFree but they changed the ingredients and made my face swell and unfortunately I had to stop using it :( was 2 years ago. Now I just live with my acne cause I don’t know what to use.
What did the doctor give you? Birth control? I am considering that.

What is a good cleansing system for adult acne?

I have never had an acne problem and now since I have gotten off birth control I have a tremendous problem with acne. My esthetician recommended a product system called Omabi but I was wondering about the SkinID and Proactiv as well. People that have used these products please respond.

Why would people rather spend all their money in buying products like proactiv that can just control acne and make them have to buy those products almost forever, if they can just use accutane or roaccutane for 6 months and solve the problem!?

How to cure acne?

I know there are a lot of threads on this topic already but more help would be great. My acne is not horrible but it does bug me so i would really like to get rid of it…just like every other teen in the world. I have tried numerous over the counter washes including stridex, clearasil, etc. Then i tried AcneFree(A cheap proactiv). Still no results. So i went to a dermatoligist and i currently am prescribed minocycline, differin, and triaz or oscion cleanser. These have helped but my acne still persists. So i read something about apple cider vinegar and started that a few days ago. I drink 2 tbs of ACV dilluted in water 3 times a day and then apply ACV topically twice daily. So….does anyone have any other home remedies that work or any suggestions? I have heard honey and cinnamon is a good paste to concoct and apply before bed? Thx for your help

What dermatologist treatment should i get?

i was on accutane for 5 1/2 months and it cleared my skin up tremendously. but it left severe scarring from where the acne was the worst, and lots of discoloration and i still break out but it much small episodes. Please dont say proactiv or some over the counter treatment because im highly allergic to most of them. What kind of treatment can a dermatologist perform to improve my skin? a laser, peel, etc? thank you!

ProActiv makes my skin dry.
So could I use Clean&Clear advantage oil-free acne moisturizer in the morning and ProActiv 3 Step System at night

I know that the Clean&Clear has salicylic acid used to get rid of acne.

I am a teenager and have had acne for seven years. Every time I try a new product, I stop using it after about a week because I see no results. I haven’t tried expensive kits like Proactiv or AcneFree.

is this a good idea. use proactiv before school. after school i usually workout then take a shower. directly after shower i use proactiv again so that covers twice a day. then right before i go to sleep i use neutrogenas oil free acne wash cream cleanser. then i use cetaphil moisturizing cream to top it off. does it sound good? if not help me rearrange them. btw i have a lot of acne on forehead and cheeks.

Does Purpose Gentle Cleansing Bar work for Acne?

I have mild/moderate acne, i’ve tried all kinds of products (differin gel, benzoyl peroxide, benzaclin, neobenz micro, doryx, proactiv, and several home remedies ) and I’m still breaking out. So I just read where "Purpose Gentle Cleansing Bar" is supposed to work extremely well for acne, has anyone tried this? If so, did it work and how long did it take for it to work?

I have had acne since my late teenage years, I am now 27. Very tired of looking at it. I’ve tried proactiv, and all sorts of over the counter treatments, and I hate taking oral medications for fear of side effects. Is there a non-invasive approach to dealing with acne? Is an antibiotic treatment regimen really helpful or will it just be a waste of my time and only make me more bacteria-resistant?

can i use lotion after applying acne free?

I use acne free which is basically a knock off of proactiv. It’s been drying out my face, but it works so well I don’t want to stop using it. My face burns a little when I apply the acne free. Would it be a bad idea to apply a non-comotogenic lotion to my face after applying the acne free? Would it make the burn worse?

They seriously look similar.
Proactiv worked for me but i’m not going to pay for it and my skin gets really dry after.
If i stop using Practiv and start using Acne Free will it work for me??

Do you think a dermatologist can cure my acne?

I have tried all the supermarket products and the seem to work for a small amount of time but then the acne just starts coming back, maybe my skin become immune to it, same story with Proactiv it worked for a wee while but now we are back at square one. Can a dermatologist really cure acne or is that just wishful thinking, and what sort of things can they prescribe?
