I’ve read a lot of questions about SIDS and it seems that people blame it on so many different factors that it doesn’t make any sense.
They say that smoking parents cause SIDS
They say placing your baby in a crib causes SIDS, yet cosleeping also causes SIDS.
Feeding your baby formula causes SIDS
Placing blankets in the crib causes SIDS (This is suffocation, not random sudden death.)
I personally think that none of these things cause it. Just because more formula fed babies than breast fed babies (or more crib sleeping babies, or babies of smoking parents, etc) happened to die of SIDS, doesn’t mean that’s the cause. It’s like if 51 crib sleeping infants pass away because of SIDS, and only 50 co sleeping infants, than crib sleeping must put your baby at higher risk. It seems ridiculous, and even offensive to mothers who do formula feed or put their child in a crib, as if they’re purposely putting their baby at higher risk. When babies on both sides of the spectrum have passed away because of SIDS, how can you blame it on one factor? Seems silly.
Anyone else think like this?

i am feeling absolutely terrible about my weight. my parents have these weight loss supllements and diet pills in the house; i want to start taking them, but i don’t know if there are any serious risks involved that can take effect quickly.
so my question is:
if i take, say, 1 in the morning and one before exercising in the evening, how will it affect my health? will it affect it over a short period of time?

My friend has type 2 diabetes and only tests himself when he feels bad. He goes to his parents house and borrows his mom’s kit. I want to buy him one that he can carry with him and is easy to use;doesn’t need alot of maintainance.

I have had canker sores since I was a toddler. I get one every month or so and sometimes can reach up to 1 cm in diameter. They are extremely painful and it seems that there is nothing I can do about them. My parents say it’s because that I eat too much greasy food and get too little sleep, but I really doubt that those are the main causes.(Are they?) I use bee propolis on the sores whenever I get them, but it doesn’t seem to be much of a help( and its extremely painful.) Is it genetic?(I’m taiwanese) or is it really caused by one of my lifestyle habits? Is there a way to make them go away faster? (Don’t give me the salt water method, it hurts like a mother)

I noticed a small lump about the size of half of my thumb on my dog’s nipple and a rice-sized lump near another one. It feels hard when you touch it but my dog doesn’t seem to be in pain when we press on it. We think it’s breast cancer but my parents say that since she’s already 12 years old there’s not point spending so much money on such a risky surgery.
How long will she live from now if we don’t do the surgery?
How big will the tumor grow?
And will she be in pain if we don’t do the surgery?

My friend is incredibly sick right now, and her parents won’t take her to the doctor(they think she’s faking it). She constantly has a fever, migraines and her heart has been hurting her lately.
Is there any cancers or disease that could be causing this? Please help.

Children are such fragile beings. Parents dont’ want them to be loaded with array of drugs and don’t want to go into some kind of adverse reactions. But at the same time couldn’t bear looking at their child in pain.Is Dr. Numb the safest numbing cream for children?

Both of my parents have high blood pressure before they were 50 and I was wondering if this will play a factor in my career choice. I have fine blood pressure right now (I’m 22) but I am worried that I might develop it later on in life and get kicked out of a good career. Should I do this and does the FAA allow you to take high blood pressure medication?

I’m 26 and I need to find my immunizations in order to enroll in graduate school. I don’t remember where I went to get my immunizations (I know I was in Illinois, but that’s it), and neither me nor my parents have a copy. Does anyone know how to go about finding these?

Or does everyone make different ones that our parents didnt have?
Thanks.

I have been trying for months to lose weight for months but it hasnt worked. Now my only other option is to use the acai berry stuff or some sort of diet pill. I know it works. But how do i get hold of it without my parents finding out? Im too young to be able to buy it from a shop and if it is posted my parents will kill me!!
I know, i am pretty screwed.

I was just thinking about college today and I think if I work hard I might have the grades to go to an Ivy League college.
I know that there is Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania, Yale University.
Which one is the best undergrauduate school for medicine?
I understand the system to get into the medical field. Both of my parents are doctors. I was just wondering what undergraduate school would help me the most to get into a good medical school.

I have a cold and my parents bought and forced me to eat some bee propolis, which I have no idea what it is. Also, I got curious. If honey is made from bee labor, and vegans don’t eat anything to do with animals, then can they eat honey?
