I’m not sure how much exercise would also be considered too much. I’ve heard and read some recommend an exercise of 3 times a week. Would exercising daily be too much? I think other people leading active lifestyles have no problem with daily physical activity. Is it possible for a diabetic to still build up their muscles? Or would their condition make it a little more difficult for them?

If you do extreme workout, you alternate hot and cold to your muscles, to avoid pain, I know you don’t shower with hot water after overworking, you get a fever, but my question is why?

Fevers are not supposed to appear as a sign of infection?

Physical Therapy?

I’m taking a few weeks off of karate (doc’s orders), because I seem to have injured some muscles in my lower back. The doctor says I’ll be doing therapy for it, and he was saying things like "therapeutic exercise" and "flexibility program". What does that entail? Will I have just one person working with me, or will I be in a class? What sort of things will I have to do? Anybody out there ever had to do physical therapy?

The person was very tense before massage and received a deep tissue/hot stone massage to relax and loosen all the knots. He had never suffered from any previous impotence issues until after the massage. Could it be stress related or could they have damaged certain nerves or muscles related?
He says that he is sure it’s not stress related. What can be another cause?

What is the difference between Pilates and Yoga?

I am looking for a non-fussy exercise that I can do at home. I would like to sweat a little from it, but the main thing is that I exercise my muscles safely (not interested in muscle building). I have tried a little bit of yoga, and I really liked how I felt afterwards. I really like the stretching, and breathing aspects. But, I am a Christian, and the spiritual aspect of yoga;the fact that it’s leaning toward Eastern religion, bothers me (no offense to those who believe it). Thanks for your answers!

For the past several weeks I have had pain in my muscles as well as my joints. I take 10mg of prednisone daily and methotrexate injections once a week for the rheumatoid. For the first time ever, I have had pain in the area of my clavicles today.

What does Rheumatoid Arthritis Feel Like?

I’m doing research for a novelist who’s writing about a character with rheumatoid arthritis. How does the pain, the sensations felt, differ from that of osteo arthritis? For example, in an old man or woman, how would such pain feel, in terms of, for example, spasmed muscles, gravelly joints, general achiness, and so on.

If anyone has personal experience, either first- or second-hand, please say so. Thank you.

I know this sounds a bit strange, but hear me out…
A few days ago I used a Mystic Eye (something like an oujii board) and I asked how I would die. It said of "Cancer Colon" and in my 70′s.
I’m a bit of a hypochondriac and this got me thinking. Since then I have had stomach pains (not from being worried) most of the time during the past 3 days. Today I had a pain in the lower part of my chest/upper part of my stomach that later moved to around my right kidney.
My body is achey which it has been for the past few months (the doctor said it was from over-using my muscles from playing bass) today it’s been a bit worse but I’ve been walking around town all day.
The only people in my family to have Cancer are my aunt on my mother’s side who had ovarian cancer and my grandma on my father’s side who had lung cancer (and smoked for many years.) I’m 15 years old.
What are the odds of me getting Colon Cancer?
I also have shortness of breath which I’ve had on and off since my muscles/joints started hurting in the beginning of the summer.
I’m a white male who doesn’t smoke, drink or do any drugs. I don’t eat much meat other than Mcdonalds hamburgers, and occasionally hamburgers off the grill at home.

My Hamster Is Bleeding From Vagina?

My hamster is a female about 1 and a half years old, It’s not heavy bleeding, she is eating properly, drinking properly, and she is running on her wheel, she isn’t having insomnia, (she’s sleeping) and she doesn’t feel cold, or any drop in body heat, her muscles don’t feel parlalized, Is it mensuration?
Is it life threatening? Please do not reply comments like "oh its just a stupid hamster just get a new one" I love my hamster and she is my pet. Also don’t say ‘Take her to a vet’ I need the information about what this might be, is it Pyometra? She feels healthy and looks healthy and doesn’t look in pain.

Thank You Dearly

Love, echub

I have had a number of conditions over the past few years that have gotten to the point now of being almost disabling. I’ve had terrible insomnia, a lot of joint and nerve pain, cramping of muscles, headaches, recurrent sore throat and swollen glands, and depression. At my doctor’s visit the other day, she ordered a lot of tests, and told me it very much sounded like chronic fatigue syndrome. I’m not that familiar with it yet, and don’t really want to delve into too much information until I have a diagnosis, but I do want to know about my latest symptom. I experience extreme fatigue from very simple self-care tasks, like brushing my teeth or hair. Ieven get tired and feel pain in my jaws and throat from chewing my breakfast cereal, or just talking for a few minutes. And I feel so weak when I do these things. I’ve had great difficulty cooking, because I can’t stir well or open bottles and jars. Just typing this question has my wrists and fingers worn out. Is this typical for CFS?
