My mom recently had a mastectomy, and now she has lymphedema on her left arm. Massage always comes up as one of the ways to decrease the swelling of the arm. However, I haven’t found anything on how to massage the arm to prevent it from further swelling, or to reduce its swelling. Would help a lot if there are instructions on how to massage the arm. Thanks!

My mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer. It is the first time anyone in my family has ever gotten breast cancer. She had surgery to remove the front part of her breast and now awaits radiation treatment. She’s been told there’s about a 6% chance of the cancer returning.
I am a healthy 27 year old who gets regular check-ups with the doctor. I was wondering how high a percentage rate it would be for me to get breast cancer?
In case it matters, I forgot to mention my mom was/is 67 when she was diagnosed.

My mom says we don’t have enough money for me to go to therapy right now, but I have been making enough so I think I can pay for it myself. Does anyone have an estimate from previously having gone through physical therapy? Thanks

I am a mom to one little boy… And going to school to be a massage therapist. I need a new car already. But I need one that is accomadating to a massage table and a little boy. I will be working from home…and traveling….and would like one that it’s not to inconvenient to have to have child in the back seat and still room for the fold up massage table somewhere? Any suggestions on a model and make?

are there any specific disease or problem for either mom or the baby if they don’t get the immunization? I know a lot of mom doesn’t want it for their baby, but aren’t some required by law in US?

Hi! My mom is sick and she needs to know what foods are good for her immune system. You know, the system that fights diseases.

I am 13 and will be 14 in exactly 20 days. I am above average as far as my chest size. For the past few days, I have been experiencing some very bad pain in one of my breasts. I have talked to my mom about it, but she said it may just be a briuse from working out in P.E. She told me that if the pain persists, she will set up a doctor’s appointment. Niether one of us has open expressed the possibility of it being breast cancer but I have thought about it. Maybe I am just ill informed as to what breast cancer is and I shouldn’t be worrying, please help.

My mom is planning on getting a kitten from a friend and it will need both its main vaccinations and to be spayed/neutered. Is there a place in the Madison area that has a lower cost for the vaccinations and spaying/neutering for people with lower income?

My mom has recently been told she has high potassium and high blood pressure. She never had either before. She is also on Synthroid and Provachol. This does not seem to make sense to me because potassium is supposed to lower blood pressure. The both occurred at the same time. (The high potassium and high blood pressure).
