I have had trouble with both getting to sleep and staying asleep for what seems like forever now. I average about 3 hours a night sleep, total not consecutive, and it’s about to drive me insane. Since there are so many different medicines out there for insomnia, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on which is best so I can talk with my doctor about it.

I am doing a biology research project on something that could have caused my life-long asthma.
Before my birth in 1992, my mother had to take some sort of medicine to mature my lungs very quickly. I would not have lived if I had come 3 months early without the medicines she was taking.
Now she can’t remember the medicine she took, but I’m looking for some possible medicines to base my research from. Any help?

(Sorry for the too many question marks…I needed 20 characters)
My friend has recently started having headaches almost everyday, and sometimes it’s just a ‘heavy head’ feeling, but the other times it’s a proper headache. She was quite fine till about a month ago. This just started all of a sudden. She is underweight, but overall healthy.
Tests revealed nothing was wrong.
I’m really worried about her. They are not migraines. There are no other symptoms, like nausea or sensitivity to light or noise.
They fade off after a few hours, generally. They start mostly in the evening. She got her eyesight checked and it was normal.
She has gone to many doctors, but nothing has been found out.
Is there any way to reduce the pain (without medicines…she’s already taking those) or to prevent headaches, maybe something that works for you, or someone you know??
Help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

I am a 30 year old female. I have had severe migranes in the past, which subsided when I was pregnant with my 3rd child. After she was born, I had high blood pressure and went onto prescription meds. During this time, I still get headaches, probably a side effect, but not migraines. My blood pressure is under control, but I am very sensitive to medicines. My meds are causing me to have a rapid heartbeat. My previous meds caused me to hallucinate and have nightmares and start to sleepwalk. Other meds I have been on caused me to have insomnia. I am so tired of being under a doctor’s care because it costs so much and the meds they give me always have a side effect and cause more problems. So I am looking for an herb that can help me with my high blood pressure, control my migranes, and it couldn’t hurt to lose some weight also. I don’t know if my problems come from a hormone problem, because it seems like it when my migranes was under control with my pregnancy. Any suggestions?

I was just wondering why people have medicines in their bathrooms? It doesn’t make sense because when taking medicine, a person needs a glass of water which can not be found in the bathroom so yeah i was just wondering.

My boyfriend just had his annual physical yesterday and the doc told him he has high blood pressure. He has been taking a lot of allergy/sinus medicines to get rid of his sinus infection. He has taken Sudafed, Dayquil, Excedrin Migraine (for headaches), zinc tablets, and Vitamin C. Can any of this stuff cause high blood pressure?

Does it instantly make you feel better the first pill you take, or is it like other medicines where you have to take them for a few weeks? Does the medicine actually work?

I don’t expose myself to young children, I wash my hands daily, I drink lots of water, & I am usually very careful.
How do I prevent getting swine flu another way?
I might not qualify for vaccinations in my state.
This is my 400th question!
Also are there any medicines I can take?

I want to be in the pharmacy field but at the same time I want to know if a pharmacist can study medicines that are already out to see if they are safe. Example: One A Day teen advantage for him or Women’s one a day. I am interested in other responsibilities pharmacists have but I have an increasing interest in studying medicine already out.

Tea tree oil is obtained from the melaleuca alternifolia tree native to Australia. Possibly its use has not grown more because traditional doctors either do not know it or because the pharmacy industry doesn´t care for it and doctors usually do not recommend
products or medicines out of the stablishment.
Anyway is useful to people that good natural products get more known. So if you have good experience with this oil let all us know about it

I have genital warts. I have a boyfriend and notified him of this. We have not had sex yet, but would like to. But we would like to know: Are there any medications/medicines I can take to reduce the spread of genital warts to him besides using a condom?

I have ADD and have been treated for about 2 months, and the 3 medicines I’ve been on, focalin, concerta, and strattera have all made my stomach hurt. What would be a good medicine that won’t hurt my stomach? Only answer if you can specify a medicine. Thank you.
