I recently had unprotected sex with another man, please don’t judge me or make jokes, I need information, please. He doesn’t have HIV/AIDS or any other stds.

I VOLUNTEER FOR AN AIDS SERVICE CENTER IN LOS ANGELES AND WE HAVE A AIDS WALK CALLED THE POSADA THAT IS HELD EVERY YEAR THE 1ST SATURDAY OF DECEMBER AND WE ARE TRYING TO MAKE THE THEME OF IT ‘LEARN AND LIVE’ INSTEAD ‘LIVE AND LEARN’.. AND WE WANT TO GET TEENS, HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS MORE INVOLVED TO UNDERSTAND IT MORE. IS THERE ANY IDEAS OF WHAT WE CAN DO TO GIVE THEM INTEREST WE WERE THINKING OF HAVING LIKE AN ON SITE HIV/AIDS TESTING ON SITE MAYBE HAVE A FEW BANDS ALONG THE WALK AT DIFFERENT SITES AND WE ARE TRYING MORE IDEAS. WE OF COURSE DO NOT WANT TO LOSE THE POSADA TRADITION WHICH IS WALKING INTO CHURCHS AND LOOKING AT QUILTS MADE FOR THOSE WHO LOST THE BATTLE TO AIDS AND THEN AT THE END OF THE WALK WE GIVE CANDLES AND CHALK TO EACH PERSON AND ASK THEM IF THEY WISH TO WRITE SOMETHING ON THE STREET TO SOMEONE THAT LOST THE BATTLE TO AIDS. BUT AGAIN ITS THE TEENS WHO DON’T HAVE ANYONE OR ANYTHING TO WRITE. WE WANT TO GET THEM INVOLVED GET THEM EDUCATED!

About 2 years ago (That’s when it happened) I started talking to this guy, I knew he had sex before, but I didn’t know if he had something etc., but anyway to the point – we started making out and he took his pants off etc. and anyway he wanted to have sex, and he really pushed it and I started feeling very uncomfortable, but I said no and we didn’t. He did take his penis and try to "put it in" – but I Said no and he quit. It never went inside of me or really touched me, He never came or anything, etc. I’ve had to do a report on AIDS and ever since I’ve started reading about it, I’ve gotten worried. My question is, Is it possible I have gotten something from him like HIV/AIDS.. and where can I get tested? Can I go to my local health department and get it done? I have come to know that there is no real test for HIV/AIDS.Whatever tests are there they do not give us the real results.A hiv positive person can be declared negative due to window period ? What is the solution?

I have two morally difficult questions.
They are difficult because they are in conflict with the human rights, yet they are not.
If a person is diagnosed with HIV+ he becomes a life threat to others. No need to paper over the cracks, it is the truth and it is interesting how many people take this matter very lightly.
With sensible precautions a person with HIV/AIDS can make sure that he keeps things safe for others, but how could we expect something like that from a person who was irresponsible enough not to use a condom/share a dirty needle? Because in most of the cases this is the cause, infection with blood transfusion is very rare nowadays.
We could ask that would these people stop having unprotected sex just because they were diagnosed with HIV+?

More and more people get this terrible disease and why? Because they don’t know that the other person has it or worse, even the person who has it doesn’t know because HIV+ has no symptoms.

Question A: if someone is diagnosed with HIV+, shouldn’t the authorities put some sort of notification on their ID to notice people that he has a deadly disease? Here comes the contradiction: it would damage his human rights if they would put that mark on his ID, but it would also damage others’ rights because that way there is no way to know if that person has AIDS or not so he can spread it as much as he wants(known to happen).

Question B: Should the government introduce mandatory AIDS testing for everybody? In my country we have mandatory lung screening and if someone doesn’t go in the given time period he can be prosecuted.
Wouldn’t these two matters(mandatory AIDS screening and a tag on the ID) decrease the number of AIDS related deaths?

I have had a 2 boyfriends that I was in a relationship for more than two years. And I trusted that they would tell me if they had anything. But the last boyfriend I had kind of went nuts and I don’t know if he cheated on me. I know that he did drugs but I have no clue what kind. He could have been using needles and I would’nt have know it. So I was wondering how many times I should get tested. Cause I know that HIV/AIDS can stay dormit for many years and not show on the test.

like if you have high blood pressure and your getting blood work done to see what type of medicine to put you on and/or could be causing it…do you have to request/referred for std/hiv-aids and pregnancy testing when getting blood work done
