I have been drinking 100% natural frozen orange juice concentrate for several years now. I always thought this was a very healthy thing to do(relative to a soda pop addiction I still believe it is) but from an overall health standpoint and articles on Dr. Mercolas website, drinking concentrated fruit juices is not all that healthy since it causes spikes in blood sugar levels. So i have given up frozen concentrate juices and replaced them with plain old fruit to satisy my sugar cravings. Im eating watermelon constantly throughout the day. I’ve been doing this for a couple months now. Well, I just read in Trivia’s Vitajournal that "the average person should eat no more than 32 grams of sugar per day." The article then goes on to show that a large apple has 22 grams of sugar. So according to this article if I eat 2 large apples a day Im eating too much sugar. Is it possible to get diabetes by eating too much all natural God given fruit such as apples and watermelon?

How do you reduce libido while losing weight?




Being overweight causes a loss of interest in sex. How do you lose weight while maintaining the loss of interest in sex? I see a lot of ways to increase it, but I want it reduced. I want my health back but not interested in the distraction of wanting sex.

I like to try natural things first before the drugs etc. . But we need to ask our doctor things, almost everytime it is all negative comments. Fro example Fish oil Omega 3’s. have be proven to really health in many areas of our health. In the doctors office was well written article about Omega 3 in their doctors journal magazine. My doctor told me it was like ‘"BS!". I take the omega 3’s for 8 months now and my blood pressure is normal!! without the drugs. I did not tell the doctor. He thinks I am still on the drugs. He will now want to hear another story from me about fish oil!!

I’ve done some reading on prostate massages and it’s supposed to be very good for your health as well as relaxing and feel good. I’m not looking to see a prostitute or go to a seedy massage parlor, are there legitimate spas or doctors or some type of location where a guy could get a prostate massage? I am a housewife. I have a son. My weight grew when my son was born. And now I am over-weight. I feel bad for my body. Recently I was sick. I have heard certain herbs like Echinacea should only be taken a few months before cold/flu season starts and not everyday all year-round, or otherwise, they are not as effective, as you build up some sort of immunity to its effectiveness.

Is this true for most herbs? Or are there other herbs that can be taken all the time - like Ginseng, Garlic, etc. as a daily supplement for overall health or Milk Thistle/Dandelion to cleanse/detox the liver?

While I am familiar with all of the benefits of herbs, and know about shelf-life, expiration dates, know that the FDA does not approve certain herbs, etc., I am still unclear about long-term use/effects. Can someone please clarify any known long-term use adverse affects of any known herbs?

I’ve been experiencing a lot of stress related problems over the last year or so and it’s starting to get a little out of control. I’m looking to balance my health through holistic medicine.

You are testing treatments for AIDS sufferers and find that 75% respond very well and 25% show no improvement or decline in health after your experimental treatment. You should:

a. conclude you have proven the effectiveness of the drug
b. conclude that only 75% of AIDS victims should be trated
c. review the results, modify the drug or the dosage, and repeat the experiment
d. discontinue experimentation because 25% patients did not improve
e. begin work on an entirely new drug

I am thinking it’s either A or C. I’m more for C though. What do you think?

Is it possible to overdose on probiotics?




I recently started taking the dannon yogurts w/ probiotics each day. The instructions say to take them for two weeks to regulate your digestion. I thought It would be a good thing to try for my IBS. I have been taking them for a month and sometimes have two a day. Am I putting my health at risk?

I haven’t always been overweight but now it’s starting to affect my health unfortunately… because my family has a history of diabetes. I signed up for the free trial of the Acai Berry and Colon Cleanse because of all the commercials and I want to know any input if it works. If you have did they work for you. After taking these supplements did you get more energy and feel better. Did it help you go to the bathroom more often.

I am just wondering because I have just started taking a colon cleanse supplement, a liver cleanse supplement and a daily once a day woman vitamin and vitamin c. And it seems to be helping me. I feel better and not all sluggish, I have energy. I feel like my overall health is improving.

Trying to make brown rice bread, and cant find a recipe that doesnt include some time of food gum. Does anyone know if guar is better than xanthan? also, I would prefer to not use either and use a natural alternative, any ideas? Obviously these gums are not a whole foods and are man made, are they safe for health, gmo free, etc?

Is there a natural remedy for hypothyroid health?




I would prefer to be on a natural supplement for a hypothyroid condition and wonder if there is something available that is easier on my health. I take Cortisone for Addison’s disease and am just not too crazy about adding other harsh medicines. Thanks in advance.
