I am diagnosed as ADD, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Clinically Depressed and am on Abilify and Welbutrin. Some side effects I’ve experienced are weight gain, extreme fatigue (sleeping 9-11 hours a night), and slight hair loss. Does anyone know how to manage these side effects while not going off the medicine completely? I’ve found it near impossible to lose weight while on these medicines especially.

I’m 13 and I have hair loss. I’m currently using rogaine, and i want to know if it just stops hair loss or grows hair.

I am currently taking 1/4 of a tablet of finasteride and have been for almost one year and am still seeing hair loss. I mostly see it on the top towards the back of the scalp but some in front also. If you know of a way to keep a full head of hair please answer.

What is the best treatment for hair loss?

A friend of mine has "alopecia areata" (patchy hair loss) and he would like to find out what treatment is best for this type of hair loss. Thanks!

I have minor hair loss near the scalp and middle. I am 23 and my dad is almost fully bald and it started when he was around my age. Mom’s dad just had receding hair line and minor hair loss which is what I have. Should I take monoxidil and if so it is possible that if I take it for 3-12 months and stop using for any reason, could it actually accelerate hair loss?

I took Yaz several years ago, and noticed I lost a LOT of my hair. Its curly and has always shed bad, but this was a lot all the time. I don’t have bald spots or anything, and still have medium thick hair, but about 2/3 of what it was.

Yaz now has a lawsuit against it, and one of the symptoms/problems is permanent hair loss. How do I know if that’s what caused it and how would I prove it?

My hair is thinning very slightly. I’m 29. I would like to know if a hair loss doctor is capable of narrowing down EXACTLY what is causing this change.

I’m doing all I can to stop and/or reverse this.

I once read an article which said that most men lose their hair as a result of increased testosterone levels in their body. Since testosterone increases the sex drive, it was said that the two factors are related. Is this always the case? What about for those men whose hair loss is genetic? Is the increase in libido significant? Does it decrease with time? Since increased testosterone also makes people more aggressive, does that mean that bold men are more aggressive than their counterparts?

I’ve been experiencing a lot of stress related problems over the last year or so and it’s starting to get a little out of control. I’m looking to balance my health through holistic medicine.

I’ve been having MASS amounts of hair loss, stomach problems, heightened sensitivity to noise and sounds, sleeplessness, restlessness, INTENSE jaw pain, eye twitches…it’s all getting worse and worse, I really need professional help.

My husband is a very handsome man, with thick hair. He’s starting to experience hair loss in the shower and when he combs his hair, and is getting serious anxiety about it. I know it’s hard for him, and I have told him that I will still find him attractive even if he does lose his hair one day. I’m wondering what I can do to show my support and hopefully make him feel a little better about it.

The hair loss is from the front, which makes it more embarassing to hide.

How to get testing for future hair loss ?

Hi, I am a 20 year old female. My dad is 65, and is going bald. I seem to be losing a lot of hair recently …..Not a few hundred stand of hairs, but about 50 everyday. Even though this seems to be an average amount of hair loss that young people can have daily, but I am still concerned. Does anybody know of a way I can get tested to see if I will go bald in the future? ( I live in central California)

I am 27 male and starting to notice a slight thinning in my hair. My brother is 6 years older and pretty thin on top. I want to do everything I can to prevent it from getting worse. I heard that boiling sage in water and letting it soak on your head can help. I also have heard of nioxin. Anyone know the most effective way to prevent hair loss?
