Can bacteria change from good to bad? In the book I read, the good bacteria in the humans bodies and bacteria around them was changing into bad bacteria that was deadly. Like anthrax, it’s "good" brother are plasmids. Can someone tell me if this can actually happen, can bacteria actually change into bad bacteria?

Its self.I know that the good bacteria feeds on ammonia but does it break down the poop it self. And how long does it take the good bacteria to form in the plastic case of the filter.I hear the term the filter media what does that mean. And how long can i go before i have to clean it.

I have strep throat and the doctor gave me strong medicine and told me that it kills the bad bacteria in my body and also the good bacteria. So she told me to eat yogurt because it has goo bacteria in it, but I don’t like yogurt. So, are there any foods that I can eat to get healthy bacteria in my body? She recommended that I use probiotics, but I don’t want to buy them so it’s out of the question.

We have some good bacteria, like in our intestines, that we need. But antibiotics kill all types of bacteria. How do the good bacteria survive?

More specifically, just as in the intestines you have good bacteria to combat the bad bacteria. What about the good bacteria on the skin to combat the bad bacteria on the skin?

I, as a consumer, tried to purchase probiotics (these are good bacteria for medicinal use) from an online store in the US (was a long time, forgot which one) and they wouldn’t ship to Canada. I got the idea there were legalities involved?

I have a nasty itchy rash that reoccurs every now and then and is very irritating and usually comes about when Im stressed or after sweating. After hours of research, candida yeast is most likely the culprit. Ive been taking candida clear and taking probiotics, but I think I want to take hydrogen peroxide instead with probiotics to create a balance of good bacteria. Anybody ever done this? What were your results?

My doctor found bacteria in my culture and the amoxicillin didn’t work. Why is it powerade is healthy for you and is a good bacteria cleanser?

My doctor recommended that I start taking probiotic capsules about a month ago since I’m not a big dairy fan. I needed to put some good bacteria back into my body.
I’ve heard that you may have to try different kinds until you find what ‘works’ for you.
What kind of changes am I suppose to be experiencing or noticing?
What are the benefits of probiotics?

I have to be on birth control pills due to midcycle spotting and severe cramps. But I keep getting yeast infections. They’re chronic and go away only to come back in a few days. Is it safe to take acidophilus pills on a regular basis? Maybe I don’t have enough good bacteria in my system to decrease the yeast growth.

I am eating one Dannon Activia yogurt, one other cup of yogurt, and taking one probiotic pill every day. Is that too much? (Please note that I do have a stomach condition…)
Can you get too many good bacteria, and what happens if you do?

Hi there,
I’ve been on a strict non-dairy diet for years (I’m lactose intolerant). Thus, I’ve been told I should be taking probiotics like acidophilus to replenish my good intestinal bacteria. However, every time I take probiotics after going a long time without any, I feel very bad – I develop a foul smell in my nose, my sinuses swell up a bit, and I generally fill "ill" all over. I don’t think this is a coincidence with something else I’m eating, because when I stop taking the probiotics, these symptoms disappear. Maybe it’s the fact that they are "dairy-based" probiotics and I’m lactose intolerant? Not sure. They are so small, there shouldn’t be that much lactose in them. Maybe my body is getting "used" to the new good bacteria? Is this a temporary adaptation phase?
I’d really like to know if this is a known symptom among people who are going on probiotics after a long period without them. It would be really interesting to know.
Thank you very much

I am 37 years old, and I have been on numerous antibiotics in the past year. I get sick with colds, etc a lot. A friend of mine recommended I take probiotics every day to get the good bacteria back into my body. When I went to GNC last night, they told me I should take the 50 billion one. Is that too much to take every day? I don’t know much about this product, so any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

I’m on a week of penicillin for a tooth ache/infection and wondering should I eat yogurt now while on the antibiotics or wait and eat it after finishing meds? Will it be a waste to eat yougurt while still on the antibiotic because it will kill the good bacteria in the yogurt, or will it help anyway?

I am doing a colon cleanse and realize I will need to replenish my good bacteria.
