I have an ear ache. Which is weird cause I used to get a lot of ear aches/ear infections as a child and I haven’t had an ear ache for a long time. Our county fair is in town this week and it was a little chilly and windy yesterday and we went to a outdoor concert last night so I was out in the cold/windy air. Could the wind have caused the ear ache? When I swallow then my ear hurts, when I touch it then it feels bruised, and its also giving me a headache. I tried Murine Ear drops but that didn’t help. Are there any home remedies I could try? I would like to at least try to get rid of my ear ache myself without going to the doctor.

I had a partial hysterectomy at the age of 28 for fibroid tumors. I already had 4 kids, and had been suffering for a couple of years. I turned 40 just 2 months ago, and have been having hot flashes for about 6 weeks, is it menopause or something else? We don’t have medical insurance, so going to the doctor to run the normal test for menopause is not an option.

What is the treatment for a fractured rib?

I was in an accident and am going to the doctor tomorrow. Generally, speaking what is the treatment? Will I be out of work?

Hot Flashes?

I’m 26 years old and have a very consistent menstrual cycle. I’ve only missed my period twice since I’ve started at 12 years old. But I have been experiencing Hot Flashes at night and during the day. There have been people who have started menopause early, but I do not have any other symptoms.

I’ve always been "hot stuff" and do not tolerate heat. It’s winter now and I have still feel like I have hot flashes about once a day. Currently I am not on medications or have any other symptoms. I do have insomnia that I’ve been coping with. Do you have any suggestions on what else could be going on? Is this "minor" issue worth going to the doctor for?

Symptoms insomnia related or something else?

For probably the last several months I have had trouble falling asleep at night. I usually wake up around 10am and avoid taking naps or drinking coffee during the day. I’m usually awake at night until at least 3 or 4am. I get tired but just can’t fall asleep. I function alright during the day, I mean I am getting about 6 hours of sleep. But the continuing sleeplessness is a little nerve racking.

I have tried taking baths before bed. I drink quite a bit of soda but have been drinking caffeine free for the past 2 months. I try laying down at a resonable time and just relaxing with the lights out. Listening to soothing music. I’ve also tried a few over the counter sleep aids which only make me extremely groggy the next morning.

I don’t know if necessarily I have insomnia or if another reason better fits. If I’m still having a problem at the end of this month I’m going to the doctor. Does anyone have any suggestions on either information or ideas as to what my problem is?

For around two years I’ve had several symptoms, and have rarely felt well.
My symptoms include:
-dizziness
-tingling/pins and needles/very cold sensation starting at back of head then through scalp, arms, shoulders and sometimes entire body (this is very uncomfortable, sometimes unbearable)
-joint pain and the feeling of very dry bones
-spells of confusion
-bad headaches (sometimes sensitive to light/sound, and sometimes temporary [1-3 seconds] sight loss)
- often times I get a "falling" sensation when I stand up or walk
- spells of insomnia
- spells of sudden fatigue and weakness
-memory problems
-psychological problems including mood swings and depression
-problems thinking/concentrating/absorbing information
-being constantly cold
- spells of irregular heart beat
- spells of chest tightness/pressure, sensation of heaviness on chest
- shortness of breath/trouble breathing (like a panic attack)

I will be going to the doctor but I just want to see if this sounds familiar.
