Ok well I still have some time to fit into my bikini for this summer. I’ve been working out at the gym about 3-4 days a week, and it seems like I’m missing something. I need a good diet plan! I was reading something on Oprah’s website and she is going for a Detox diet. I thought I’d give it a try! I’m asking you guys for advice cause I’ve never, "dieted" before and man do I need to start. I’m 5’8 and 170lbs, and for me thats over weight. I had my daughter 3 years ago, and I haven’t been able to loose the weight. So I wanted to try this detox diet. I love fruits, vegetables, and I also thought about skipping meat products, and going for fish. What do you think? Please give me opinion, and any detox information that you might know about. Thanks!

So I put a few ceramic cubes *from petsmart* in a mesh baggie and set it in my HOB filter last Friday. I put it in my 29′s fiter today. Was that enough time to get any benificial bacteria on it??
This tank is a 29 gallon freshwater. I’ve seeded the tank with gravel, plants, and a few decortaions from my established 10 gallon. Ive checked chems…. 0 ammonia, 20 nitrate and 0 nitrite. The tanks been up for 2 weeks with a few cycling fish in it, and I have been adding Seachem’s Stability to the tank to aid with bacterial growth…

There’s always a fuss that "natural is better"’. I’m curious if there are any studies that show that eating coldwater fish is more effective than taking an equivalent supplement of Omega-3 Pills.

Or is the omega 3 acids from supplements intended for those who never eat fish?
I just took the vitamin 10 minutes ago and I feel like going out to eat fish with my husband. Can I?

After cooking the fish on a grill outside, then storing in the fridge, then microwaving the fish deplete it of its nutrients and more specifically omega 3 fatty acids? Is it better to eat vegatables raw or cooked?

My doctor gave me a repeat script for preg omega and the next time we went he gave me a repeat script for mumomega which i have now been taking both as i thought i was suppossed to. I read eating fish can cause brain damage to a fetus becuase of the mercury. Are omega 3 supplements the same? I mean do they contain mercury. Do you think i have harmed my baby now?

What (exactly) are the benefits of foods that are high in Omega-3 fatty acids?
I know that fish (cold water seafoods) are high in this nutrient.
I normally do eat a "balanced" diet (I eat more veggies & fresh fruits than meats.)
Thanks for feedback.

I just read from another question I asked that omega-3 fatty acids is good to take if your pregnant, but to be careful about mercury levels. Do omega-3 fatty acid pills have any mercury in them? Can I just have my wife take those pills instead of eating fish?

I am a vegetarian and became confused whether if I should take fish or flaxseed oil supplements and then just decided to pick the bottle that contained both. The bottle says to take three daily with a meal, but I was questioning if that was too much? Also the dosages are balanced well. For example, there is much more Omega 3 than there is Omega 6, and Omega 9 has the least dosage. Thanks for the help! Other advice also welcomed!

I hate fish. Is there any way to cook it so it doesn’t taste so, well, "fishy"? Are there alternative sources of Omega 3?

I am feeding my betta peas but I really don’t want my betta to die. What is the best medicine to cure it in bettas? And is it contagious in fish?

Obviously Omega 3 is good for your brain and I want to get as many nutrients as possible. I know that you can have different vitamins to be healthy but I’d like to get them all. Is Omega 3 contained in anything but fish?
Thanks!

One of the goldfish in my preschool classroom has had a growing tumor on his head for the past 6-8 months. It started out small, and at first I thought it was part of his skin. They are regular goldfish, not popeye ones. I have tried a variety of meds-nothing has worked. The kids are always asking me why he has the tumor and I tell them he has a boo-boo. It does not seem to hinder the fish in any way.

I have a 10 gallon tank with 10 black neon tetra’s. The water has gotten cloudy so I purchased a treatment called Clear Water. I know the cloudiness is a result from overfeeding which we are no longer doing. I just want to make sure that the treatment will not harm the fish. I have checked the product site and can not find out whether or not to remove the fish.
