I’m 22 years old and was recently diagnosed with secondary Sjogren’s syndrome with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Is anyone else out there like this? I’ve had symptoms for nearly a decade, and have not started official medication yet. I’m finding it so hard to exercise as fatigue drains every bit of energy I have. Is it normal to have excessive fatigue with RA? It’s been really hard for me to cope with this, seeing as how its so rare for someone my age, and I’m just looking for some support.
Any words of advice are greatly appreciated!

I’ve been under tremendous stress lately and my acid reflux has gone out of control. Not getting much sleep either, some nights none. Is there a connection between reflux and stress/worry/fatigue?

Lately I’ve been having hot flashes and excess fatigue. I wake up after a full nights sleep and become insanely tired a few hours later. I also have been getting hot flashes and are always sweating even when the room is set at 60 degrees. Are these signs of any particular disease. I want to have a heads up before I get my blood drawn. Thanks!
Sorry forgot to mention don’t say menopause cause I’m only 16. lol

I am 48 years old and have had a sore throat for a month with very little other symptoms. My glands are a little swollen and my throat is barely red. I have not had any fatigue, weight loss, or anything else major. The pain from the sore throat is better in the day, then gets worse at night. What could be the cause of this chronic sore throat?
I don’t have red tonsils either. Just a sore throat.

My husband has experienced muscle soreness and fatigue for about four days now. His doctor told him it is not Lime disease, Foot and Mouth disease, etc. The doctor didn’t bother prescribing anything to my husband b/c he said by the time he gets the prescription the virus should have passed through his system. My husband forgets what the doctor even called the virus. It either started w/an "m" or "em." Any insight is appreciated. (I feel sore and somewhat weak, too.) Thanks.

I suffer from bad migraines. I have no insurance so no CT Scan or MRI. I suffer from nausea, fatigue, upset stomach, severe reaction to light and movement and just feeling lousy.

I’m sick as ****!! I have all of the symptoms of the flu including fever, coughing, fatigue, sore throat, body aches, etc etc. How do I know I don’t have swine flu???
PS – I’m not one of those crazy hypochondriacs, I’m just curious.

From the Lexapro website: "Lexapro is well tolerated by most people. The most commonly reported side effects of Lexapro are nausea, insomnia, problems with ejaculation, somnolence, increased sweating, fatigue, decreased libido, and anorgasmia. Most of the side effects experienced by patients taking Lexapro are mild to moderate and go away with continued treatment, and usually do not cause patients to stop taking Lexapro."
Did you experience a decreased libido? If so, how much did it drop and did it come back as you continued on the drug. I know this is pretty hard to measure. My wife says it has killed hers and we have basically stopped. Seems kind of extreme but possible I guess.
Thank you all for your feedback. Great personal stories and you really helped me more than you know.
I almost awarded best to destinishadow1 for pointing out the poetic nature of my question. LOL
Jess: Thanks for sharing. I think as long as your happy then don’t worry about it all. I think your one of the few who would call this side effect "interesting" LOL
Country Mom: At least your friend was doing the job
j/k I don’t really want my wife to do it if it were a job or chore because I can take a good guess at how awkard that probably is.
stephsteph320: Please email me with whatever tricks you do to keep it "regular" WOW!
kelly: Nice Save! I don’t know why men take this stuff personal. Fortunatly, I take Adderall for ADHD so I KNOW about effects and side effects but there was still this, "its because of my small…" is why she isn’t. Stupid male brain!
Meg: Lucky You! How good was your libido before you got on the meds
Everyone’s biochemistry different.
Dennis B: Congratulations. You have made sure I’ll never take Lexapro (LOL).

In the case of Type 2 diabetes, what chemical imbalances in the body causes fatigue? What are the causes for the calf and shoulder muscles to ache? Are there natural supplements to correct these imbalances?

I have undiagnosed chronic pain and fatigue. Even after shopping for just a few hours I feel like I’m going to die if I don’t sit down. I’m afraid to try to get a job where I’m going to have to be on my feet (like McDonald’s). Has anyone tried this? Any suggestions?

I’m really scared that I’m going to get type 1 diabetes. I match two of the symtoms of it: extreem hunger and fatigue. Type 1 diabetes runs in my family, my sister, and great grandparents had it.

My dr has tested me for many things to explain my low-grade fevers, muscle weekness, fatigue, and many other symptoms. She has found nothing conclusive and is pretty much out of guesses. (incidentally, this is the forth dr that has tried to find an answer ) I’m just at the point of being my own medical detective, and wonder if cfs is a possible conclusion?
