Constipation states yesterday. Much more than I’ve ever been. Very little made its way out. Today absolutely nothing has come out. How long should I go before seeing a doctor?

I should also note that the problem isn’t getting it to move, but getting it out the exit. It feels too small. My urine is also very orange. I guess I have to drink more.

When should I make an appointment with my GI doctor? It will probably take three days to get in.

My brother was shown a partner notification letter that his girlfriend of less than a year could have HIV/AIDS. Plus a letter showing her appointment for an HIV/AIDS test. I told him to dump her. She has lied and had 2 sex partners besides him but he doesn’t believe it. She said that the letters are a lie. What can I do or say to make him believe it. Two letters would make me believe something is going on what about the rest of you. Give me your feelings.

My daughter is only 14 months old and she has a terrible cough it obviously gets worse at night time, as most coughing does, and she cannot sleep because everytime she coughs it wakes her up, I know its hurting her when she coughs because she is not able to go back to sleep right away. She has a doctors appointment with her pediatrician tomorrow, but until then, is there anyone who knows of any home remedies that would be able to help my ill baby girl?

I have too much calcium being deposited on the bottom row front teeth, which causes a ache. I am suppose to set up an appointment for treatment, but I am curious to know what they would do to treat it.

I’ve got one. I have a doctor’s appointment next week but in the meantime, I’m REALLY having a hard time peeing. I haven’t had sex for awhile. My question is if a male doesn’t have sex or sexual release will this cause him to get prostate infection?

Anyone out there use probiotics for their baby or know someone who does? How old does baby have to be to use them? Do you use something special that you mix in their food or just use yogurt?

My daughter constantly has a yeasty infection in the folds of her neck and diaper area…will this help prevent this? I have tried Lotrimin and tried to keep the area dry, but it just keeps coming back. She is formula-fed, on a soy-based formula because of milk sensitivity, so if I use yogurt it would be soy anyway at this point. She is 5 months old, already eating solids (cereal, fruits, veggies, which was OK’d by my doctor, so no rude comments please) very well. I plan on talking to my doctor about it at her next appointment but want to be well informed, so any information would be appreciated. Also, does Nestle Good Start Natural Cultures contain these same probiotics? I am thinking of switching her when she gets a little older…

My puppy was diagnosed with roundworms (GROSS!!). She was given deworming medicine this afternoon at the vet’s office. How long does it take to run its course and if treatment goes well, how long until she’s rid of the worms?

Side note: We have another dose of medicine to give 2 weeks from today and an appointment in four weeks.

My mom is 48 and going through menopause. She gets these horrible hot flashes and I would like to know of something she can take "AT HOME" that could possibly help. My kitten is currently on Revolution but I have noticed her scooting on the ground, which is a sign of parasites. I have an appointment for her at my vet to check if she has parasites. I’ll be 23 weeks on Monday and I have an appointment with my OB then. I thought she said I’d have to do the glucose test at that time, but she may have meant later. I wondered when you’re typically tested for gestational diabetes in pregnancy?

Also, I’ve noticed I am so thirsty lately. I know this can be a sign of diabetes. But I wondered if dry mouth/thirst is also just a symptom that some pregnant women deal with (who DON’T have diabetes)?

I think I maybe be starting menopause. I do have an appointment with my gyno. But I have been having some really strange dreams lately. They are really effecting my sleep. I don’t know why else I would be having these dreams. Has anyone else experienced this at the onset of menopause?

Today when I went to the bathroom, my stool was greenish. It almost looked like it had green moss growing on it. Does anybody know if this is a sign of colon cancer? I’ve had other colon cancer symptoms as well lately and I have a doctors appointment scheduled for July 6th.

I’ve never heard of green stool being a symptom of colon cancer, but I am just curious.

This is a high stress time. I’ve been diagnosed as depressed. Insomnia is really bad, to the point I dread going to bed. As soon as my head hits the pillow, my mind goes into high gear. Although I have a hard time losing weight normally, I’ve been dropping weight like you wouldn’t believe. Has anyone taken medications for problems like this, & was it effective? I finally got an appointment with the doctor this Friday. I’d appreciate recommendations from anyone. Thank you!

I have been suffering from Bipolar depression for several years now…somewhere around 10 years. The doctor has put me on several different medications that caused me more issues (weight gain, fatigue and other stuff like that) that I could not handle. I have not been on medicine since I had my son 2 years ago. Things seem to be getting worse lately with all the stress that has been added since my wedding in May. I have an appointment with my doctor today to try to get something to help me. It has gotten to the boilling point where I can see my condition hurting my family. Anyone have any suggestions on what medications worked good for you or someone you know? Or any other comments for me…please don’t be negative..that is not going to help me at all..it will only make it worse.

Bill - you are right, I am lacking self-confidence but I have had that problem all of my life. It’s not something I can just snap out of by myself. I almost wonder if at times I need people around me that feel like I do so that we can support each other…I am too embarrased most the time to tell anyone about my problems.

My boyfriend has always had trouble falling to sleep at a reasonable time, no matter what time he went to bed. He lays awake for hours trying to sleep and doesn't fall asleep until sometimes as late as 6 or 7 in the morning.

If he is lucky enough to fall asleep by 2 or 3, he wakes up after getting usually about two hours of sleep. When he wakes up he still can't go to bed till about 6.

Does he have sleep-onset and sleep maintenance insomnia, is it possible to have both?

We try different things to help relax him, like I give him a massage or scratch his back, or mess with his hair or whatever. He's tried eating a light snack before going to bed, drinking milk, and stuff like that, but nothing has helped.

He's making a doctor's appointment sometime this month because this has gone on for too long, but I wanted to get some information about insomnia.
