I took 4mg of diazepam because I had to give a presentation in school (yes I’m in high school and have rheumatoid arthritis, it sucks) and I had almost no joint pain that day! I know people who take diazepam for anxiety take like 40 mg a day so I know my pain didn’t go away because I was calmed down. So I was wondering because diazepam is a muscle relaxant did that have anything to do with it?

I am on my second night being alcohol free but there is a huge problem. For the past 2 nights I have been suffering from severe insomnia and anxiety. What can I do to help alleviate these symptoms? I couldn’t sleep even if I tried because I seem to have this overwhelming energy. Is this normal with alcohol withdrawal. How long will it take for these symptoms to go away?

I found a couple of white pills, rather thin, they are round and have a white triangle on it and that’s all. I found them with several valiums so I think they may be some kind of muscle relaxer or anxiety drug (found in my husband’s bag – we’re going through a divorce). Does anyone know what kind of drug this might be?

My Doctor put me on Lexapro (an anti depressant) for my anxiety but when I take them I get more depressed a moody (but not anxiety). If I have this type of reaction to this anti depressant how likely is it that I will react this way to all anti depressants?

My new doctor believes that my hot flashes and anxiety is more from depression than memopause and has taken me off my hormone replacements meds. I’m skeptical but willing to try celexa since she insists all my symptoms are not from memopause but rather prolonged depression.

What is the best herbal remedy you have taken for anxiety and stress? I have been told to take Rescue Remedy but want to look at all my options. I am currently taking Xanax once a day and would like to get off them.

I’m not taking the med for that purpose. I’m taking it for anxiety but it’s also meant to lower your blood pressure for those with high blood pressure.

I have a question for those of you who have hot flashes. I think mine are caused by anxiety, but regardless of your cause.. Does the intensity change with the seasons? Because even when I’m in my school in february and it’s kind of cold, I’ll have one and it’ll feel like I’m on fire, and I think I developed a random sensitivity to heat along with the anxiety lol.. So I’m worried about summer coming quickly, because if they’re bad in the winter.. they must be KILLER in the summer. For those of you who deal with them, are they more intense in the summer when it’s already hot to begin with?

My mom is 49 years old and has been having sudden anxiety/depression. She describes what sounds to be like a hot flash combined with sudden anxiety and panic. She went to the MD and was tested for elevated estrogen/progesterone/luteinizing hormone, but all were within normal limits. IS it possible to be starting menopause without having elevated hormones?

What does taking omega 3 capsules help with? I remember when I took them I could control my anger alot better and I had less anxiety I have stopped taking them but I think I might start taking them again. Am I just imaging that omega 3 helped with that though?

No this is no laughing matter! I get constipated each time I have a lot of anxiety. I cannot become less anxious… its a habit formed. Please tell me what to do about this after-effect of constipation! Thanks.

I have been living with anxiety my whole life it seems. Over the last couple years it has caused me to have muscle tension/pain in my shoulders and now my neck as well. Since April I have headaches/migraines. I stopped working and some days I have to stay on my couch the whole day because of how the pain has gotten. I am getting health insurance next month but I just wanted to know if anyone has had this extreme physical pain from anxiety or is it possibly something else?
