My 3 ½ month old daughter had RSV last week and this week was diagnosed with an ear infection. She has been on amoxicillin for 24 hours but still has a fever, the highest it has gotten is 100.9. How long after bring on antibiotics does the fever typically go away? I know antibiotics won’t control her fever but am wondering if once they kick in if the fever will go away. As you can probably tell, this is my first child!

I do not have health insurance, or dental, right now because my husband and I are self-employed. I do not qualify for medicaid. I have a wisdom tooth that is very painful and infected and I need it removed very soon. I’m on antibiotics right now to clear up the infection, but I cannot afford the out-of-pocket cost for the surgery to remove it. What are my best options? A discount dental plan, for example… I need some good ideas of what I could do to find assistance in paying for the surgery to remove it.

It’s making me feel sickly and tired to where I don’t want to do anything, and the other day I even vomited because of it. I’ve tried everything there is over the counter and I also got prescribed antibiotics and a decongestant. However nothing works. I still feel tired and sickly and I have this intense pressure all over my head. Do I need to have sinus surgery?

How can you tell the difference? Without going to your doctor, I have had a "sinus infection" or head cold for 7 days now. It is getting better though and I have not been on any antibiotics, but I am still extremely stuffed up (especially my ears) How can you tell the difference if it’s bacterial or viral? Thanks.

How can I relieve sinus pressure in my ears?

I was diagnosed with pneumonia on Saturday and a sinus infection on Monday. I have been taking antibiotics, steroids, decongestants, nasal spray, and have been sleeping with a cool mist humidifier in my room. I can’t hear out of my right ear from sinus pressure (it’s been like this since Monday.) I’ve tried hot showers, hot washcloth over my ear, and decongestants yet the pressure is still unbearable. Any other ideas on how I can relieve this sinus pressure in my ears?

Hey I have 2 questions:
1.is a virus a bacteria(or the other way around?)?Where do bacterias fit if they’re not viruses and the other way around?
2.I’d also like to know the difference between viral and bacterial DISEASES,not between viruses and bacterias.I know you can cure bacterial diseases with antibiotics and you can’t viral, but I wanna know the difference between the two.

Hopefully you’ll be able to help, thank you very much!

Somebody told me that probiotics are helpful to "re balance" your system after you take antibiotics. Is there any medical research to support this statement?

i heard somebody used collidal silver and chlorophyll part of their sinus rinse to kill the bacteria thats causin the smell..i’m on antibiotics right now from a sinus infection, so i don’t know what else to do.

i recently purchased a product from a company called liquid health. the product is their level 5000 joint health supplement which has 75 mg of grape seed extract per 1 oz serving, among many other beneficial ingredients. the canine should be administered the level 5000 product at 2 oz per day for a two week loading up phase, and then 1 oz per day after that. i have not yet begun administering the supplement to my 6.5 year old french mastiff because he recently had his torn acl fixed, and his knee cap relocated to a more anatomically correct location at the same time, and he had been on antibiotics and two pain medications in addition to his normal vitamins and joint supplements. i did not want to stress his system anymore than i had to by changing his joint supplement during an already difficult time for my boy. now i am rethinking administration of the product at all, however, based on a list i viewed recently of foods canines should not be fed, which included grape seed extract.

How do I stop getting sick? I am coughing, congested. I gave two people at work and a friend of mine the disease so I am contagious. I have a dr’s appt today to get antibiotics, how do I prevent this? I didn’t get sick all winter long because I got the flu shot and then this summer in June I got sick with similar symptoms but no phlegmy cough. Then a few weeks ago I was feeling a sore throat and slept a lot and drank a lot of tea. This time I got the sore throat and got sick.
I heard propolis bee extract is a good thing to take. can i get the flu shot multiple times in a year?

Has my body built an immunity to antibiotics?

How long does it take for dengue fever to pass?

I’ve been having dengue fever for 6 days now. Right now I am having rashes, and feel really tired.I realized that the doctor didn’t prescribe me any antibiotics for it, only some anti-histamine and itchy medicine, does it just go aways by itself? I wonder how long does it take for it to pass?

She has an eye infection and ear infection. She started taking Augmentin (basically Amoxicillin) on Monday night. She’s had two full days of antibiotics. She is still running a fever (around 101 or 102, breaks and comes back throughout the day.) She is one year old. Does this mean the antibiotic isn’t working? Or is it normal for a fever to linger for a few days after antibiotics are introduced?

What natural foods boost the immune system?

I am currently sick with what seems like a sinus infection, I’ve had fever, clogged nose, scratchy and horrible throat, and general body weakness for the past three or four days, and my doctor’s appointment (when I’ll get antibiotics) isn’t until tomorrow. I need to know some things I can eat/do that will boost my immune system so this doesn’t get too bad.

How effective are treatments for genital warts?

I heard the doctor can start out by giving you an ointment to put on the warts? How effective is the cream?

Will I be given some antibiotics so my body can fight off this virus?

What are some other treatments? Can the gynocologist do surgery right in his office for genital warts or is it an extensive and invase procedure?
