I heard the doctor can start out by giving you an ointment to put on the warts? How effective is the cream?
Will I be given some antibiotics so my body can fight off this virus?
What are some other treatments? Can the gynocologist do surgery right in his office for genital warts or is it an extensive and invase procedure?

[Reemerging pathogen]
What diseases have emerged or reemerged due to pathogens evolving immunity to antibiotics?
How does this happen?
How large of a threat are they to humanity?
What parts of the world are most threatened by these new diseases?

I always try to get over colds and flus on my own, even when they get quite bad. I figure it’ll make my immune system stronger than wimping out and going for antibiotics. Am I wrong?

I just want to know how to get my immune system strong again after I finished a course of antibiotics. By the way, I am also taking probiotics with the antibiotics I am on. So, how do you strengthen the immune system after you are done with a short-term course of antibiotics?

My doctor prescribed antibiotics for fever. Blood or other tests were not performed, so this could have been viral fever. I am concerned about taking antibiotics, as the body(bacteria) may become immune to the antibiotic in the long run. Should I take antibiotics? How much is considered to be overdose and may develop immunity in the body?

I have a fever. I’m pretty sure it is from my wisdom tooth being infected. I will be getting it removed in about three weeks (I’d do it sooner but I want to wait until I’m done with school so I can be at home and be relaxed)
If I don’t take antibiotics, how long will it take for a fever to go away? I got a fever on Saturday and it’s getting better, I think, but what is the average?

My 9 year old son has been running a fever for almost 4 days now. He’s been on antibiotic for 3 full days but still has temperature unless I give him a fever reducer. They say that you shouldn’t give a fever reducer unless the temperature reaches above 102 (he’s been getting 101 and 102). I am getting more and more concerned that the antibiotic is not working and it may be something more serious. It’s been 72 hours and to my experiece, antibiotics usually take effect after 42 hours, tops, where there is no fever. Does anyone know how long a fever can go on for and if I should be concerned and take him in for another visit?

My girlfriend was diagnosed with pneumonia about 3 days ago and now she is having terrible sinus pain on top of that. She is miserable and I am trying to make her more comfortable. Any ideas on relieving sinus pressure especially under the eyes? Thanks in advance.
P.S. she is already taking antibiotics for the pneumonia so we are pretty sure its not an infection.

I had the stomach flu (gastroenteritis) a week ago and now I have terrible acid reflux! I’ve never had it before and it won’t go away. I’m taking antibiotics for something else right now and I’m not supposed to have antacid medicine. Any home remedies??

My stomach is a little upset because I haven’t been eating probiotics when I normally do every day (because I’m on antibiotics.)
I’m wondering if I can eat some Activia while on the antibiotics or if it would negate the effects…
the antibiotics are for a bladder infection, not sure if that matters.
Thanks! :]

I’m taking up 500mg of Antibiotics (Amoxicillin) thrice a day for a week. After the 3rd day, Ive been feeling a little upset in the stomach… Ive read that Antibiotics not only "kill" harmful bacteria but also the good ones such as those found in GI tract responsible for properly digesting food. So I was wondering if I could drink Yakult while on Antibiotics… or would the antibiotcs just kill the shirota strain?

About a week ago I developed what I think was some kind of flu. A few days after getting sick, I got an ear infection. I had planned on riding out the sickness on my own until the ear infection. So I called my doctor and had him call me in a Z Pack (Zythromax).
I’ve finished the antibiotics, but my ear still feels clogged. There’s no pain at all, just a clogged feeling and muffled hearing out of that ear.
Does anyone know of any kind of home remedies that could help me out?

The past couple of weeks i started taking probiotics, but have been developing skin problems, cysts and blemishes. Know that antibiotics are often prescribed for acne issues and wondering if the probiotics could be the cause?
