So, today I am 11 days past ovulation & 3 days before period is due. I tested with one of those internet cheapie test strips that I bought 5 for .00. Well it came back negative! I have been having major symptoms of pregnancy and wondering if these tests are accurate? I read where women have used them and got positives early and then others who didnt get a positive from them but a positive from other brands. Have any of you used these strips and are they any good at testing before period is due?

Is medical & health coverage as a job benefit on the way out? Corporations like the US auto companies now claim they are not economically competitive if they are forced to provide health & medical care and treatment to their employees & their spouses or their retirees & their spouses under prior worker-employee benefit agreements or benefit understandings? They claim the costs of health and medical care of their wage employees is too big a cost component in the unit price of their products (, ie cars and trucks).

So where do we go now from here ?

Especially if you are a wage employee and not a member of the upper management elite which are provided health and medical care benefits till death and maybe beyond , no matter what happens to the business in the future? Didn’t Jack Welch the retired CEO include regular delivery of toilet paper supplies as a retirement benefit?
You can’t minimize or excuse the fact that upper managements give them- selves entitlements (your word) that they routinely deny the employees they manage. I make no apology for calling them an elite–a priviledged power elite on that basis. Personally I think the health care system situation doesn’t the elite because their needs have been taken care of irrespective of how high costs rise or what further restrictive conditions on treatment and care are imposed on the rest of us.

Whenever I drink Red Bull and Vault, my joints (especially the ones in my fingers) ache badly. It used to happen with AMP, but after a while, the pain subsided. My friend told me that I was the only one she knew that actually has this joint thing going on. If someone could tell me why my joints hurt and if it is a common side effect, that would be great. I have to have a colonoscopy done Thursday. They said I will have conscious sedation. The paperwork says I will be given a sedative and pain meds through an IV before they start. Anyone know what sedatives & pain medicines they give you? I wonder b/c I have had 16 surgeries and a lot of pain medicines and sedatives have no affect on me. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

Is there anyway to use my old recipe for chocolate chip cookies, but somehow substitue ingrediants to make it gluten free? Maybe? I am now over 65 and my PSA tests have remained at normal levels I have that test and a rectal exam by a urologist done annually. I’ve heard recently that pomegranate juice may be of value in treating men wiith prostate cancer whose cancer is still progressing despite radiation and/or hormonal therapy. What I’d like to know is this:

(1) Is there any evidence that it might help in preventing or delaying onset of the disease? and
(2) Is there any indication it could interfere with early diagnosis by skewing the PSA test?

In a non-medical setting (not a hospital, clinic, etc) are medical professionals like nurses required to provide care in an urgent/emergency situation.

For example, if you are eating out with a friend & someone has a heart attack, are you required to step in until paramedics arrive?

I am wondering about LEGALLY, not morally/ethically.

We bathed all five pets (2 dogs, 3 cats) in Zodiac flea shampoo (made for dogs & cats). Four pets are fine, but one cat (3 years old, Calico, female, healthy, all cats are indoor only) has had a bad reaction to the shampoo. She is constantly grooming and pulling off her fur, and although she now has bald patches she eats fine, is affectionate, and does not have open wounds. A tree in my garden drops a large branch in a storm, which damages fences and the Insce Co agree to clean up the debris.
A second branch, still on the tree, is weakened & threatens my house which is underneath. The Insce Co agrees to cover removal of this branch but an arborists report says that the rest of the tree over a neighbours house will be unstable after cutting off the second branch. Can I expect the Insce Co to pay for total tree removal?
