I have had an ear infection since Saturday, and have been on Amoxicillin since Sunday, my ear still really hurts and so does my throat. Today though, my jaw started becoming very sore and it is very difficult to open my mouth without my jaw popping and locking ni place. Can an ear infection cause this? Yes, I’m going to the doctor in an hour and a half, I just wanted to know if this is normal for an ear infection, thanks!

The doctor told us our 7 month son had an ear infection. So she prescribed him with Amoxicillin. Does this antibiotic work for ear infections? And if so, how long before the baby will feel relief and the infection start to go away?

I have sinus and ear infection and started antibiotics. My eyes started getting strange blurry and like a white discharge coming from them. Has anyone had this with infection or with Amoxicillin?

My 3 ½ month old daughter had RSV last week and this week was diagnosed with an ear infection. She has been on amoxicillin for 24 hours but still has a fever, the highest it has gotten is 100.9. How long after bring on antibiotics does the fever typically go away? I know antibiotics won’t control her fever but am wondering if once they kick in if the fever will go away. As you can probably tell, this is my first child!

She has an eye infection and ear infection. She started taking Augmentin (basically Amoxicillin) on Monday night. She’s had two full days of antibiotics. She is still running a fever (around 101 or 102, breaks and comes back throughout the day.) She is one year old. Does this mean the antibiotic isn’t working? Or is it normal for a fever to linger for a few days after antibiotics are introduced?

I have a burning in my chest that started about four days ago, Ive been to the ER and was told that I had arthritis in my ribs but now I’ve been told by another doctor that it’s acid reflux. The only symptom I have is rib burning, which started after taking Amoxicillin.

I’m taking up 500mg of Antibiotics (Amoxicillin) thrice a day for a week. After the 3rd day, Ive been feeling a little upset in the stomach… Ive read that Antibiotics not only "kill" harmful bacteria but also the good ones such as those found in GI tract responsible for properly digesting food. So I was wondering if I could drink Yakult while on Antibiotics… or would the antibiotcs just kill the shirota strain?

I am 10 weeks pregnant and have a sinus infection and started taking Amoxicillin last Wednesday and now I seemed to have developed what I am assuming is a yeast infection(extreme itching). Is this normal to get after starting antibiotics? And what can I do for the yeast infection beings I am pregnant?
