Do you think HIV/AIDS testing should be made mandatory by schools?

I went to a free AIDS testing center, and I realized that not only do a lot of people who are HIV positive go there, but a lot of the people who work there are probably HIV positive as well. Isn’t this dangerous?

Ok, i was getting an AIDS test.
It was done at a gay bar, upstairs.
They take your saliva with a cotton swab, and add it to this strip.

Thing is, it takes 5-10 mins to show a result.
Blue is negative. And red is positive.

Does this sound like an accurate result of aids testing?

now there are commercials about Herpes medication and Syphilis testing…That has actually helped the taboo of STD’s decrease. However, all the media talks about is AIDS testing. Do you think they will ever reach a point of advertising like that of diabetes and cancer (surviver advertisements, celebrity advocates living with it, medication commercials, etc)

I believe that will help soften the stigma of the disease…What are your opinions?

I VOLUNTEER FOR AN AIDS SERVICE CENTER IN LOS ANGELES AND WE HAVE A AIDS WALK CALLED THE POSADA THAT IS HELD EVERY YEAR THE 1ST SATURDAY OF DECEMBER AND WE ARE TRYING TO MAKE THE THEME OF IT ‘LEARN AND LIVE’ INSTEAD ‘LIVE AND LEARN’.. AND WE WANT TO GET TEENS, HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS MORE INVOLVED TO UNDERSTAND IT MORE. IS THERE ANY IDEAS OF WHAT WE CAN DO TO GIVE THEM INTEREST WE WERE THINKING OF HAVING LIKE AN ON SITE HIV/AIDS TESTING ON SITE MAYBE HAVE A FEW BANDS ALONG THE WALK AT DIFFERENT SITES AND WE ARE TRYING MORE IDEAS. WE OF COURSE DO NOT WANT TO LOSE THE POSADA TRADITION WHICH IS WALKING INTO CHURCHS AND LOOKING AT QUILTS MADE FOR THOSE WHO LOST THE BATTLE TO AIDS AND THEN AT THE END OF THE WALK WE GIVE CANDLES AND CHALK TO EACH PERSON AND ASK THEM IF THEY WISH TO WRITE SOMETHING ON THE STREET TO SOMEONE THAT LOST THE BATTLE TO AIDS. BUT AGAIN ITS THE TEENS WHO DON’T HAVE ANYONE OR ANYTHING TO WRITE. WE WANT TO GET THEM INVOLVED GET THEM EDUCATED!

tomorrow i think im going to go get tested for std’s i went to the place today and they had a thing for aids testing, should i do that? i’ve already gotten tested for std’s once and passed but it was a urin test and i dont think it tested for everything
