Why is it that people are so scared to go for a HIV/AIDS test?

AIDS is a disease that is associated with dread, stigma and still a lot of ignorance. The only thing people know is that it could be caused through sexual contact and it has no cure. And often, people think that they might have made a mistake that will ruin their lives. And prefer to be unaware of it, rather than live with a devastating answer.
Because if they don’t know for sure, then they can pretend that maybe they don’t have it.
because they are afraid of the social stigma if they are positive.
they dont want to know.
