You really should see a doctor and get a prescription. Apparently, the over-the-counter stuff just isn’t doing it for you. The doctor can prescribe something stronger and more effective that actually works. It would be worth the investment of time and funds–probably cheaper than fake nails in the long run.
Go to the doctor, 100% guaranteed they’ll get rid of it.
Did you know that if you pee on your feet while your in the shower it gets rid of athletes foot? xD you could always try that.
you have to wear clean socks, thats the reason it never goes away
Did anyone else laugh at mexican medicine?
go see a foot doctor. Odds are, over the counter crap won’t work.
If your feet sweat a lot, try using shoes that allow more air to the feet.
There is no mexican magic that’s gonna work, unless your doctor is a mexican working his magic.
Unfortunately, fungal infections on the toenails can only be cured by taking a prescription oral anti-fungal medication. The topical (liquids and creams) medications don’t work. Contact your doctor. Good luck!
Try using a mix of alcohol, bleach, salt and water.
dude, go to a doctor. there is nothing to be emberrased about. they see stuff like this everyday. as a nurse, people often get emberrased with their private parts or bodily functions etc. but as a nurse, none of that stuff affects me, like at all, they and you shouldnt be emberrased. all this stuff is the norm for health care professionals. the doctor is gonna look at your foot, say yep, you have this and this and give a perscription for something that’ll work. the end.
Sorry i laughed at the mexican medicine thing. Yeah, go to the doctor.
Go to the doctor and get a prescription for Penlac 6.6ml. It is very expensive, but a lot cheaper from Canada. It is $57.00 per bottle at Canpharm.com. I had my doctor write a prescription for 2 bottles, because for purchases over $100.00 you save the $25.00 shipping charge. Most likely you’ll need at least 2 bottles because it takes a very long time to fully cure, possibly a year. Especially if it is on all your toenails – I just have it on my right big toe. Also, see if you can get 10% off. A representative contacted me on the live chat and gave me 10% off, so it came to $102.60 for 2 bottles.
This is a topical medication that you paint on your toenails, and you are supposed to periodically clip them. The doctor should tell you and there are instructions with the medication.
There is also a pill, I think, but it can be dangerous and cause liver damage and you have to be monitored by a doctor, so you are better off with the topical medication which is totally safe.
I can’t tell you if it works (for me personally), becuase I just got it in the mail a few days ago and haven’t started using it yet. But once you start, you need to use it every day. They say you are supposed to have the unattached nail removed by a professional every month, but my doctor didn’t tell me I needed that and said I should try to clip it once a week. Personally, I have a $50 co-payment if I see a specialist and I’m not sure how a podiatrist can tril my toenail any better than I could.
According to the insert, it says that a full course of treatment is 48 weeks and it takes 6 months to see improvement. It also says only 12% see a clear or almost clear toenail, but my doctor seemed to think that this is a good product. One problem you might have is that you aren’t supposed to use any nail polish or nail cosmetic product – I don’t know if this applies to fake toenails, but it might since this is a topical medication.
