Excellent!! Dairy actually causes the digestive system distress and you’re right the BGH (bovine growth hormone) and all the other stuff they pump into cows are not healthy, for yourself or the cow.
Probiotics are wonderful and necessary for optimal health. The best probiotics and health supplements are Natures Sunshine. Go here: http://www.mynsp.com/natural_healing
They run 20-50 tests on all products before, during and after the manufacturing process to ensure the highest quality and potency. They also have an outside company run tests on their products to ensure the same. In tests with other companies, Natures Sunshine always comes out on top.
They reject 3% of everything that is shipped to them because the product does not meet their standards. Do you know what happens to the rejected 3%? It is sold to other companies who turn around and sell them to the public claiming that they are just as potent. When they are not. Natures Sunshine is also backed by a quality guarantee.
I can’t really tell you if they work or not but I just recently starting taking them also. Someone told me you have to try out different kinds.
Make sure you get the refrigerated kind though! It’s a LIVE ACTIVE thing.
These are the ones I’m trying right now. I don’t really feel any different but it hasn’t been that long.

Jarro is very good, too. http://www.jarrow.com/product-228
They are stabilized pro biotics.
You’re right about the dairy. http://www.notmilk.com More science to prove that dairy is the cause of Crohns and IBS.
Enzymes may help you more than probiotics. I take a liquid multi-formula that really works for me,
my probiotics are purchased at a health food store from the refrigerated section. the cultures are supposed to be live and I do not understand how the dried, off the shelf, can remain viable through the processing. the brand I usually is "Now" and costs about $10.00 for a bottle of 100

The two best I use are Primal Defense by Garden of Life and Primadopholus Optima by Nature’s way. Both are excellent and give a wide range of different probiotic strains. Why do I take two different brands you ask? Well, I believe the Primal Defense doesn’t contain enough strains of bacteria but the Primal Defense carries something none of the other products do and that is homeostatic soil organisms. For more info on HSO, go to gardenoflife.com. Buy these products online. It’s much cheaper.
