Is there a difference between blood pressure pills for high blood pressure and hypertension?
I ask this because I have a friend with hypertension who’s interested in taking prescription pills to treat his high blood pressure. Only problem is he’s been diagnose with high blood pressure and he knows that its hypertension because when ever he goes to the doctor his blood pressure testing is high, and when ever he goes to Walgreen’s or local supermarket to test his blood pressure it is normal. Can anyone tell him the names of blood pressure pills strictly for hypertension if they exist.

high blood pressure and hypertension are the same thing so the pills are the same too
Hypertension and high blood pressure is the same thing. The blood pressure machines in the stores tend to be inaccurate and it is not the best way to determine your blood pressure. Manual blood pressure is the best and if a manual B/P is saying that it is high thna it is high. I don’t like using the machines myself and I prefer to use a regular cuff.
