As a pediatric Rheumatology nurse I can tell you that Pauci JRA (less than 5 joints) can turn into Poly JRA (more than 5 joints) for a period of about 6 months.
Generally kids with Pauci JRA may have just one knee or one ankle or one joint which can be managed with Naprosyn or even Motrin if a very mild form. Even Aristospan which is injected into the joint can put arthritis in the joint in remission. "Can". meaning it is not predictable and can come back in one, two, six months or totally fail.
Uveitis is a silent disease. Yes, you can have symptoms such as decrease in vision but can only be checked with a slit lamp. I would never go by symptoms of redness, pain or drainage.
