immunization?
I am a new mom to a beautiful little girl. At her first Dr. appointment I thought I liked her pediatrician but when we went for 7 week check up I signed a waver against immunazations and when I left I had forgotten a question regarding the baby and whether or not I should take her to a nail salon with me and her staff was so rude in saying don’t take her anywhere in any public places and I asked why because of her age or because I wouldn’t vaccinate and they said both Now the reason I dont want to immunize her is because I know of 1 child that died at 4 months old from her MMR shot and also my Uncle and Aunt whom I am very close to run a massage school he is a chiropracter homeopathic doctor and their babies never even saw a peditrician just saw their dad because I am not giving my baby shots and NEVER will what is the point in going back to our original pediatrician By the way my cousins are way advanced in school is there anyone who agrees with me ?

that 4 month old probably had other complications. But if you believe that taking your baby to the peditrician to get immunizations, will harm your child, then maybe you shouldnt get them done its your choice. But if your baby does end up catching something, then what? Her body will have a tough time fighting it off, because its not immune to it.
Vaccination is a personal choice, however I would be wary of someone who says they know of a 4 month old who died of MMR. That shot is not usually given until between 12-24 months.
Whether or not you vaccinate should be based on research, education, and facts, not rumor and anecdotal evidence. The bulk of research indicates that vaccinations are safe. Some parents don’t agree, and don’t think the benefits outweigh the risks. That’s a decision every parent should make for themselves.
I do not vaccinate my children.
They were idiots. I would definitely not return to that pedi. Finding another Dr is a good idea, a family Dr or a naturopath. Having someone you can go to that you can trust and knows your child(ren) when they get sick. I do not do well baby check-ups because they are honestly pointless when you do not vaccinate. I take my children to a Dr when they are sick, exposing them to the germs in the Dr’s office when they are healthy is not the best thing in my opinion.
Interview some new Dr’s, ask them their opinions on vaccinations. I have a Dr who believes in vaccinations, but completely respects my decision and does not push it with me. And he does not treat my children like they are going to fall over dead if they step out in public. He knows better.
Just find a Dr who is either on the same wavelength as you, or at least respects your decision properly.
Good luck.
Sorry, I don’t agree with you. I am an educated women who sat down with my daughter’s pediatrician and asked him to explain to me why people are now obsessed with not vaccinating their children. He explained to me that the media will hype up the 1 in a million chance of something going wrong and put people in a frenzy. And, usually, the negative situation is blamed on the immunization and usually can’t be proven. Just think, I’m sure you were vaccinated as a child as I was and all of our peers, parents, grandparents, for hundreds of years and we don’t have any stories about vaccines causing death, autism, etc. My daughter just turned 3, has had all of her shots, and she is perfectly healthy. I’m proud to know that she is being protected against all the diseases out there especially since there are so many parents who now refuse to vaccinate their own children. You can separate the MMR shot if that makes you feel better.
you knew of a child who died at 4 months from a MMR shot? weird.. the US doesnt give the MMR until 12 months.. so perhaps you need to look into this more sounds to me like you are one of the lucky people who have misinformation about vaccinations.
Do your homework before you make any decision like this, it can effect your childs life and well being. Don’t you think its worth at least researching it before you make up your mind?
I like chiropractors and preventative care sadly it is discredited and not covered by many ins companies b/c then big pharma would not be as necessary VACCINES HAVE NOT BEEN OUT FOR 100′S OF YEARS ,MOSES LIVED FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS I’M PRETTY SURE HE WAS UNVACCINATED my point is I think the more primitively we live the better off we are if we eat a primitive diet and stay away from chemical laden toys toilettries vaccines and pharmaceuticals ie antibiotics and antidepressants loaded with flouride we will live a lot better ! I don’t trust the fda or cdc at all. They most certainly DO NOT have our best interests at heart!
Died at 4 months from MMR shot?? I don’t think so. They don’t give babies the MMR shot until they are at least 1 yr. old. I just took my daughter in last week.
I do not immunize either- but it was based on a LOT of research. Some doctors and staff WILL be rude to you b/c of your decision, but if they are then you should try to find someone else. I do think that pediatricians can definitely be helpful in many areas so I woudln’t disregard all of them completely, just find a place that respects parental decisions.
You need to do your OWN research, not rely on others experiences’ to make such an important decision for you. I have looked and looked online about immunizations. I have found the benefits far outweigh the risks involved.
Read this. The MMR shot isn’t given until 12-15 months. Clearly the age of ONE, not four months.

hey, who needs perdiatricians anymore.. i mean, they are only certified to deal with babies, but, your uncle is a chiropractor!! my uncle wrks in insurance, i should just let him check out my son… immunizations have a point. if you dont want them, expecxt people (like a pediatrician who reccomends them), to urge you to get them.
and i wouldnt take my 7 week old to a nail salon either, there are way too many fumes
