Try to eat a balanced diet! Keep your carbohydrates below 50% of your daily food intake. Unlike what the majority of people think, fat is not the main problem to the obesity epidemic. Carbs can be easily stored as fat. The majority of American’s eat way too many carbs. In fact, this problem can be traced back to the second world war. The United States had to cut back on foods high in carbs during the war because of a shortage, but afterwords everyone started eating a ton of carbs. Kind of like how kids eat candy during Halloween lol.
Anyway, eat something high in fiber in the morning (Oatmeal, fruit, or cereal). Make sure your body gets the recommended amounts of fruit and veggies too. Green vegetables have a ton of fiber so that will help keep you regular. Start super hydrating yourself! This means drink more than the eight cups of water recommended per day. Avoid most saturated and trans fat. Try to increase your protein intake to .8 grams for every pound you weigh.
Try to eat lean meats versus fatty ham or pork. Chicken, turkey, and fish are all great examples of healthy protein. Make sure you never eat three hours before you go to bed.
