How do I prevent recurring yeast infections.?
Over the course of six months I’ve had really, bad yeast infections and they just keep coming back. I went to the doctor today because I have been having alot of itching but no discharge for a couple months. She told me that it is a yeast infection and she gave me a stronger dose of medication…
The question is how do I prevent them from occuring? They drive me crazy and I dont know why they arent going away. What can I do so it dosent come back

If you are sexually active, your partner is probably giving it back to you. Guys don’t have the same symptoms, and if they have a yeast infection, it’s possible to go unnoticed.
A change in diet can help with the recurrences. Foods containing yeast, such as bread, are contributors. Also, sweets and sugary foods are bad if you get yeast infections frequently. Eating yogurt can help prevent them.
Wear cotton underwear and avoid tight-fitting clothes. Yeast thrives on warm, moist areas, so keep the area as dry as possible and let your "lady parts" breathe as much as possible.
Acidophilus pills can be purchased at any pharmacy and some stores–I got mine at Wal-Mart. I take them because I haven’t found a yogurt that I like.
Good luck.
Yeast is very hard to get rid of.Ask your pharmacist for over the counter probiotic pills. They restore the natural flora in your body which combats too much yeast.
