How do I know if I have just a yeast infections or an STD without going to the doctor?
I have no health insurance and if I just have a yeast infection I would purchase something OTC.
I am not having sex with anybody, last time I had sex with anybody was in June. I haven’t been on any antibiotics because I have no insurance to go to a doctor. It’s very itchy and red on the outside. The discharge I have is like a creamy white color and I have no odor down there. I have better days where it doesn’t bother me and then there are days where all I want to do is just itch. Not sure what other information to supply you with but I hope this helps you more.

Can be a bit difficult although yeast infection is generally accompanied with yellow smelly discharge and itching.
I found this resource helpful: http://www.cure-yeast-infectionz.com/yeast-infection-cure.php Gives information on how to cure yeast infection naturally and permanently.
You need to go see a doctor. Reoccuring yeast infections could be a sign of other issues going on.
It is possible to spread the yeast infection to your sex partner and that could lead to re-infecting you over and over again.
Not trying to scare you about anything, but its something that you need to break down and pay for the doctor visit. I hope this helped you.
get the yeast infection screning kit from ur local drug store, like cvs or walgreens. its only $16 and it comes with two tests. It wont actually say if you have a std but it test your ph levels and if they are out of normal then you dont have a yeast infection and should get a std test taken my your doctor. I thought I had an std and I bought the test and my ph levels were normal….so I went to the doc to verify the results….and I had only a yeast infection just as the test stated.
Well, I’m sure you’ve probably read about the "cottage cheese" discharge associated with yeast infections. (It also doesn’t smell down there, as opposed to many STD’s.) It could also be a UTI, in which case you really need antibiotics, it won’t go away on its own. Do you have to pee frequently? Does it itch, burn, or both? Is it on the outside or the inside?
I believe many women’s clinics also have testing for this sort of thing either for free or at very low cost, taking into consideration your lack of insurance. However, if you think it’s a yeast infection, try treating it, and if it doesn’t go away or improve in a week, you’re just going to have to see someone.
It all depends on the symptoms, do you not have clinics around your area? I know now that there are testing kits for yeast infections at the local drug store but am not sure how accurate they are.
Go to webmd.com and read about the symptoms for yeast infections and other STDs. That website has some very good information.
Yeast infections usuallu make you itch down there. If you are on any antibiotics, that can trigger it. If it has a foul odor, you might have a bacterial infection.
