How common is high blood pressure in pregnancy?

Just wondering, lately I’ve seen a lot of questions and answers where woman have had high blood pressure during their pregnancies. Thanks for the answers!

It is normal for blood pressure to increase during pregnancy, like 120-125 and 80-90. If your blood pressure goes 140-145/90 then it is considered elevated and will be monitored. If it goes 145 plus/95-100plus then it is considered high and you could be placed on medication, bed rest or if you are far enough along in your pregnancy, then you will be induced.
I have gestational hypertension and my blood pressure has gone from elevated to high back to elevated enough that I am on house rest, need to go for blood/urine work weekly and I see my doctor weekly as well.
It is not common, really only like 1-2/10 pregnant women deal with truly high blood pressure.
A lot of women have "high" blood pressure when they are pregnant. HighER bp is totally common during pregnancy BUT there is a difference between high in pregnancy and high is general. My bp maintained 145/90ish until a week before i gave birth-which is considered "high" but not dangerously high. Mine then got way higher 170/90ish so they induced me.
i dont think its that common. ive googled it and found only 1 in 10 pregnant woman have high blood pressure so if you get 30 pregnant woman together then only 3 of them will probably have blood pressure.
you can get high blood pressure with multiple pregnancies as well, as my mum in the last few months of having her surro twins was in and out of hospital with high blood pressure
I got high blood pressure towards the end of my 3rd pregnancy, but not with my first two. My doctor watched it closely, and had me getting it checked 3 times per week. They eventually induced me (6 days before my dd) I think it happens, it’s not uncommon….but not to be expected either.
Is atenenol safe for hypertension patients with low heart rate?I am 47 yrs T2 diabetic for the last 12 years, I was prescribed aten25mg to control hypertension(160/110). My average heart beat is 72 bpm
